Our inspiration for this home was an updated and refined approach to Frank Lloyd Wright’s “Prairie-style”; one that responds well to the harsh Central Texas heat. By DESIGN we achieved soft balanced and glare-free daylighting, comfortable temperatures via passive solar control measures, energy efficiency without reliance on maintenance-intensive Green “gizmos” and lower exterior maintenance. The client’s desire for a healthy, comfortable and fun home to raise a young family and to accommodate extended visitor stays, while being environmentally responsible through “high performance” building attributes, was met. Harmonious response to the site’s micro-climate, excellent Indoor Air Quality, enhanced natural ventilation strategies, and an elegant bug-free semi-outdoor “living room” that connects one to the outdoors are a few examples of the architect’s approach to Green by Design that results in a home that exceeds the expectations of its owners. Signature Custom Homes

A few years back we had the opportunity to take on this custom traditional transitional ranch style project in Auburn. This home has so many exciting traits we are excited for you to see; a large open kitchen with TWO island and custom in house lighting design, solid surfaces in kitchen and bathrooms, a media/bar room, detailed and painted interior millwork, exercise room, children's wing for their bedrooms and own garage, and a large outdoor living space with a kitchen. The design process was extensive with several different materials mixed together.

トレーニング専用の部屋を確保する余裕がない場合でも、ヨガやピラティス、ストレッチなどのエクササイズであれば、大人が横になり両手、両足を伸ばせるくらいのスペースがあれば十分ヨガスタジオとして活用できます。目安は畳一畳分。トレーニングチューブや2〜3㎏のダンベルを使って筋トレをしたり、フォームローラーやストレッチポールで筋膜をほぐしたりといった運動は小さなスペースでかなり本格的にできます。お気に入りのヨガマットと音楽でモチベーションを高め、人目を気にすることなくのびのびと汗を流せるのも、ヨガスタジオならではの利点です。

トラディショナルスタイルのヨガスタジオを作るにあたっての注意点

ランニングマシンやトレーニングバイクを使った有酸素運動や、ダンベル、バーベル、ベンチを使った本格的な筋力トレーニングをする場合、まずは床の耐久性を考慮する必要があります。重い器具は部屋の四隅に分散して配置したり、ランバーコア合板やラバーマットを下に敷いたりといった、重量が分散する工夫をすると良いでしょう。また、トレーニング中の掛け声やマシンがぶつかる音がご近所の迷惑になることもありますので、ヨガスタジオの防音、防振対策も忘れないようにしましょう。
