Hidden refrigerators make a small space feel larger because there aren't as many interruptions for the eye. We measured the espresso maker to make sure it would fit in the corner cubby.

The luxurious kitchen was outfitted with custom cabinets which we designed and ordered from a Canadian manufacturer. All built in appliances are top of the line. The hood was custom-made per our specifications. For ease of care and maintenance, we opted for quartzite countertops and backsplashes as well as porcelain tile flooring. The floor border inlay is made of actual marble. This room awaits some pendant light fixtures and the breakfast table.

The most elegant, cozy, quaint, french country kitchen in the heart of Roland Park. Simple shaker-style white cabinets decorated with a mix of lacquer gold latches, knobs, and ring pulls. Custom french-cafe-inspired hood with an accent of calacattta marble 3x6 subway tile. A center piece of the white Nostalgie Series 36 Inch Freestanding Dual Fuel Range with Natural Gas and 5 Sealed Brass Burners to pull all the gold accents together. Small custom-built island wrapped with bead board and topped with a honed Calacatta Vagli marble with ogee edges. Black ocean honed granite throughout kitchen to bring it durability, function, and contrast!

We made a contrasting island to offset the cream units and mixed a Spanish style tile with a more standard metro style tile so that the pattern was a little more sympathetic and not over powering. This picture shows a close up of the island with a rustic top made from stained scaffolding boards. You can get a more finished effect if you prefer it by putting them through a thicknesses and biscuit jointing them and then finishing with a high polish but it wasn't the look for this particular house.

We don't know which of these design elements we like best; the open shelves, wood countertops, black cabinets or the custom tile backsplash. Either way, this luxury kitchen has it all.

French Country Gourmet Kitchen Complete Renovation of a Modern Kitchen Design formerly with Light Oak Cabinets to a charming and inviting French Country New Orleans Kitchen. Custom Off White Cabinets combined with a two tone checkerboard patterned tile create a stunning gourmet french country kitchen. A custom vent hood was constructed and adorns the gas cooktop. The black galaxy granite countertops provide just enough contrast to the white on white kitchen. Checkerboard flooring is a favorite because it is reminiscent of old French kitchens. The white on white is accented with true white subway tile for the backsplash. Accents of black granite countertop combined with open glass shelving and silver decor create a fresh french country inspired design style.
