Inspired by their years in Japan and California and their Scandinavian heritage, we updated this 1938 home with a earthy palette and clean lines. Rift-cut white oak cabinetry, white quartz counters and a soft green tile backsplash are balanced with details that reference the home's history. Classic light fixtures soften the modern elements. We created a new arched opening to the living room and removed the trim around other doorways to enlarge them and mimic original arched openings. Removing an entry closet and breakfast nook opened up the overall footprint and allowed for a functional work zone that includes great counter space on either side of the range, when they had none before.

Complete overhaul of the common area in this wonderful Arcadia home. The living room, dining room and kitchen were redone. The direction was to obtain a contemporary look but to preserve the warmth of a ranch home. The perfect combination of modern colors such as grays and whites blend and work perfectly together with the abundant amount of wood tones in this design. The open kitchen is separated from the dining area with a large 10' peninsula with a waterfall finish detail. Notice the 3 different cabinet colors, the white of the upper cabinets, the Ash gray for the base cabinets and the magnificent olive of the peninsula are proof that you don't have to be afraid of using more than 1 color in your kitchen cabinets. The kitchen layout includes a secondary sink and a secondary dishwasher! For the busy life style of a modern family. The fireplace was completely redone with classic materials but in a contemporary layout. Notice the porcelain slab material on the hearth of the fireplace, the subway tile layout is a modern aligned pattern and the comfortable sitting nook on the side facing the large windows so you can enjoy a good book with a bright view. The bamboo flooring is continues throughout the house for a combining effect, tying together all the different spaces of the house. All the finish details and hardware are honed gold finish, gold tones compliment the wooden materials perfectly.

La frialdad del cristal contrasta con la calidez de la madera natural, creando una simbiosis perfecta de materia prima. Esta cocina es totalmente atemporal y moderna a la vez. La campana de techo no solo crea un ambiente más limpio y espacioso visualmente, también ayuda a que no entorpezca las espectaculares vistas que nos ofrece la ventana panorámica. Una completa cocina en un lugar privilegiado, sencilla pero a la vez elegante, muy práctica y con gran capacidad de almacenamiento.

Completed in 2020, this large 3,500 square foot bungalow underwent a major facelift from the 1990s finishes throughout the house. We worked with the homeowners who have two sons to create a bright and serene forever home. The project consisted of one kitchen, four bathrooms, den, and game room. We mixed Scandinavian and mid-century modern styles to create these unique and fun spaces. --- Project designed by the Atomic Ranch featured modern designers at Breathe Design Studio. The warmth of quarter sawn oak is one of a kind. It's a great choice when looking for a natural, neutral cabinet. In this project, it was paired with a simple white quartz countertop. And it's golden natural hue was emphasized with gold hardware, and wicker pendants.

A sleepy Queenslander was given fresh new life with a sweeping renovation in a contemporary, Scandi inspired aesthetic. Layers of texture and contrast were created with the use of tile, epoxy, leather, stone and joinery to create a Scandi home that is youthful, vibrant and inviting.

In this Hell's Kitchen kitchen in midtown Manhattan, interior designer Ellen Z. Wright of Apartment Rehab NYC designed the space with storage in mind. An outcrop by the window created a narrow niche down the length of the wall that her clients didn't know what to do with. Ellen designed an 8" deep bank of upper and lower cabinets perfect for pantry and glassware storage. A wood-look tile backsplash and stone-gray floors offer an earthy, elemental vibe, and the transitional design style is great for resale value.

El reducido espacio del apartamento requería integrar la cocina en el salón. Por lo que se diseñó una cocina que tuviera un toque elegante y sofisticado. La encimera y el entrepaño se hiceron de marmol artificial con vetas en tonos cobre. Los muebles en color negro al igual que el grifo, y los electrodomésticos en acero inoxidable. Estos tonos neutros combinados con la madera de puertas y suelo consiguen elevar la categoría de esta cocina de dimensiones tan reducidas.

På skåpen ligger en bänkskiva av marmor där vaskarna monterats under skivan för ett praktiskt och vackert utförande. Bänkskivan är extra djup vi fönstret för att skapa en större arbetsyta.
