This 1990s brick home had decent square footage and a massive front yard, but no way to enjoy it. Each room needed an update, so the entire house was renovated and remodeled, and an addition was put on over the existing garage to create a symmetrical front. The old brown brick was painted a distressed white. The 500sf 2nd floor addition includes 2 new bedrooms for their teen children, and the 12'x30' front porch lanai with standing seam metal roof is a nod to the homeowners' love for the Islands. Each room is beautifully appointed with large windows, wood floors, white walls, white bead board ceilings, glass doors and knobs, and interior wood details reminiscent of Hawaiian plantation architecture. The kitchen was remodeled to increase width and flow, and a new laundry / mudroom was added in the back of the existing garage. The master bath was completely remodeled. Elle détonne de par sa singularité : un look contemporain avec ses façades grises et ses finitions en laiton sur fond de papier au style anglais. ⁠ ⁠ Les rangements de la cuisine s'invitent jusqu'au premier salon comme un trait d'union parfait entre les 2 pièces. ⁠ ⁠ Derrière une verrière coulissante, on trouve le 2e salon, lieu de détente ultime avec sa bibliothèque-meuble télé conçue sur-mesure par nos équipes. ⁠ ⁠ Enfin, les SDB sont un exemple de notre savoir-faire ! Il y a celle destinée aux enfants : spacieuse, chaleureuse avec sa baignoire ovale. Et celle des parents : compacte et aux traits plus masculins avec ses touches de noir.

The homeowners wanted to improve the layout and function of their tired 1980’s bathrooms. The master bath had a huge sunken tub that took up half the floor space and the shower was tiny and in small room with the toilet. We created a new toilet room and moved the shower to allow it to grow in size. This new space is far more in tune with the client’s needs. The kid’s bath was a large space. It only needed to be updated to today’s look and to flow with the rest of the house. The powder room was small, adding the pedestal sink opened it up and the wallpaper and ship lap added the character that it needed

外観は、黒いBOXの手前にと木の壁を配したような構成としています。 木製ドアを開けると広々とした玄関。 正面には坪庭、右側には大きなシュークロゼット。 リビングダイニングルームは、大開口で屋外デッキとつながっているため、実際よりも広く感じられます。 100㎡以下のコンパクトな空間ですが、廊下などの移動空間を省略することで、リビングダイニングが少しでも広くなるようプランニングしています。 屋外デッキは、高い塀で外部からの視線をカットすることでプライバシーを確保しているため、のんびりくつろぐことができます。 家の名前にもなった『COCKPIT』と呼ばれる操縦席のような部屋は、いったん入ると出たくなくなる、超コンパクト空間です。 リビングの一角に設けたスタディコーナー、コンパクトな家事動線などを工夫しました。
