This Arts and Crafts century home in the heart of Toronto needed brightening and a few structural changes. The client wanted a powder room on the main floor where none existed, a larger coat closet, to increase the opening from her kitchen into her dining room and to completely renovate her kitchen. Along with several other updates, this house came together in such an amazing way. The home is bright and happy, the kitchen is functional with a build-in dinette, and a long island. The renovated dining area is home to stunning built-in cabinetry to showcase the client's pretty collectibles, the light fixtures are works of art and the powder room in a jewel in the center of the home. The unique finishes, including the powder room wallpaper, the antique crystal door knobs, a picket backsplash and unique colours come together with respect to the home's original architecture and style, and an updated look that works for today's modern homeowner. Custom chairs, velvet barstools and freshly painted spaces bring additional moments of well thought out design elements. Mostly, we love that the kitchen, although it appears white, is really a very light gray green called Titanium, looking soft and warm in this new and updated space.

We first worked with these clients in their Toronto home. They recently moved to a new-build in Kleinburg. While their Toronto home was traditional in style and décor, they wanted a more transitional look for their new home. We selected a neutral colour palette of creams, soft grey/blues and added punches of bold colour through art, toss cushions and accessories. All furnishings were curated to suit this family’s lifestyle. They love to host and entertain large family gatherings so maximizing seating in all main spaces was a must. The kitchen table was custom-made to accommodate 12 people comfortably for lunch or dinner or friends dropping by for coffee. SB apt is the result of a renovation of a 95 sqm apartment. Originally the house had narrow spaces, long narrow corridors and a very articulated living area. The request from the customers was to have a simple, large and bright house, easy to clean and organized. Through our intervention it was possible to achieve a result of lightness and organization. It was essential to define a living area free from partitions, a more reserved sleeping area and adequate services. The obtaining of new accessory spaces of the house made the client happy, together with the transformation of the bathroom-laundry into an independent guest bathroom, preceded by a hidden, capacious and functional laundry. The palette of colors and materials chosen is very simple and constant in all rooms of the house. Furniture, lighting and decorations were selected following a careful acquaintance with the clients, interpreting their personal tastes and enhancing the key points of the house.

In this gorgeous Carmel residence, the primary objective for the great room was to achieve a more luminous and airy ambiance by eliminating the prevalent brown tones and refinishing the floors to a natural shade. The kitchen underwent a stunning transformation, featuring white cabinets with stylish navy accents. The overly intricate hood was replaced with a striking two-tone metal hood, complemented by a marble backsplash that created an enchanting focal point. The two islands were redesigned to incorporate a new shape, offering ample seating to accommodate their large family. In the butler's pantry, floating wood shelves were installed to add visual interest, along with a beverage refrigerator. The kitchen nook was transformed into a cozy booth-like atmosphere, with an upholstered bench set against beautiful wainscoting as a backdrop. An oval table was introduced to add a touch of softness. To maintain a cohesive design throughout the home, the living room carried the blue and wood accents, incorporating them into the choice of fabrics, tiles, and shelving.
