Using a polished plaster ceiling adds a beautiful design feature to the room while allowing the wine storage to remain the key feature. Designed to enjoy with friends, this cellar houses 700 bottles of wine, has two cigar humidifiers, and a gorgeous table which allows for you to sit, relax and enjoy the scenery (in this case is the beautiful Brisbane River). Hand made to suit the tight space, the black woodgrain cabinetry, angled shelving for ease of access and display, matt black racking, eloquent lighting, all highlighted by the New York Stone benchtop. Batten timber ceilings, timber flooring and clever artwork transcend this space into a new level.

This under-stair wine cellar presented several design challenges. Chief amongst which: how to avoid making this cramped, dark space feel like an afterthought compared to the grandeur of the rest of the home. The design team at Architectural Plastics quickly came up with a solution. A series of stepped height, clear acrylic wine racks offered maximum storage for the multi-level ceiling. This showcase wine cellar at Nick & Sam's Restaurant, custom designed and installed by IWA in Dallas Texas, features insulated glass, display racking, and specialized HVAC equipment. The client requested a free standing wine room, and the architect provided the initial design, requesting a turnkey solution. IWA Design Center provided final designs for the enclosure, cellar refrigeration, and racking. The negative corners in the design are a unique visual element, augmenting this impressive glass wine cellar. It took two weeks from beginning of installation to clean up and final walk through. Construction materials included: - HSS hollow steel iFrame with double pane glass and black butt glazing - Ceiling uses 2x4 framing and marine grade plywood, finished with cedar T&G - Racking is Platinum Vintage View label forward wine racking with FCF frames - Refrigeration uses two CellarPro AH6500SCh with remote displays - Floor is finished with cedar T&G

This stunning glass enclosed modern custom wine cellar was designed and installed by Vintage Cellars earlier this year. The Contemporary Custom Wine Room was fitted into an existing fireplace space, turning the visually unappealing sore thumb of the room into a magnificent show stopping centerpiece. This modern luxury condo on the 31st floor in a downtown San Diego high-rise acted as a very interesting project for the custom wine cellar design team at Vintage Cellars. The modern wine room space has dual paned, insulated glass but because of the nature of glass itself, the cooling unit was recommended to be oversized. The custom wine room space itself didn't have great options for venting the cooling unit due to the location on the 31st floor. The best option to vent was determined to treat the wine room as a wine cabinet, per se. The Cooling Unit, a CellarPro 1800 XTS, was placed in the ceiling, venting down cool air and circulating vented air back upward. The result works perfectly for a uniquely modern and contemporary space such as this. This fully enclosed, glass front custom wine cellar boasts a 300 bottle capacity with a sleek, modern, label forward feel that ULTRA Wine Peg racking is known for. The center section is a double stacked full reveal display row, showcasing some of the homeowner's finer wines. Though no particular space was made within the wine racking area, the design of this modern custom wine cellar was pushed back a couple of feet so that wine case storage could be an option between the glass front and the custom racking. Additionally, the clean feel goes even further upon looking for the entrance into this wine cellar. The flat panel on the furthest left side opens slowly and almost magically when pushed in slightly. A great, modern touch! A gorgeous, modern condo such as this is just begging to have a custom wine cellar. This space, with big help from this contemporary wine room, screams luxury upon entering.
