A small space now feels so much larger and inviting...with an open kitchen and new sliders to the back of the house. When cooking and eating, everyone can participate and also enjoy lake views. What used to be a small u-shaped kitchen, dark dining room and enclosed staircase now offers a 'great room' feel and seems much larger than it is.

Aluminum triple pane lift and slide doors and window wall providing light and expansive views to the family room, dining room and kitchen. High ceilings, picture windows, lift & slide doors, clerestory windows all contributing to this light filled family room.

La demande client est de personnaliser un espace plutôt neutre, et d'optimiser la cuisine donnant sur le séjour. Ils aiment le style moderne, scandinave et bord de mer. Les couleurs demandées sont le jaune, le bleu et le blanc. Ils n'aiment pas le carrelage et souhaitent poser du parquet de l'entrée en passant par la cuisine ainsi que dans le séjour.

This is another favorite home redesign project. Throughout my career, I've worked with some hefty budgets on a number of high-end projects. You can visit Paris Kitchens and Somerset Kitchens, companies that I have worked for previously, to get an idea of what I mean. I could start name dropping here, but I won’t, because that's not what this project is about. This project is about a small budget and a happy homeowner. This was one of the first projects with a custom interior design at a fraction of a regular budget. I could use the term “value engineering” to describe it, because this particular interior was heavily value engineered. The result: a sophisticated interior that looks so much more expensive than it is. And one ecstatic homeowner. Mission impossible accomplished. ​ P.S. Don’t ask me how much it cost, I promised the homeowner that their impressive budget will remain confidential. In any case, no one would believe me even if I spilled the beans.

Situated within a slightly recessed art niche sits a large Richter painting, mirroring the colors and vibrancy of Fifth Avenue's Central Park just outside. Art niches are created to display both primitive and modern pieces. Again, the splayed walls create a wonderful backdrop for standing sculptures.

Prior to our arrival, this client's flat panel was sitting on a stand in the corner. We spoke with them about mounting a panel and having their equipment up off the floor to give the room added space. We installed their 55" LED and SONOS PlayBar along with a Sanus on-wall furniture piece.
