Smaller Kitchen in an East Northport, NY Cottage

These young homeowners were looking for a way to elevate the aesthetics of their new home in East Northport NY. Kitchen Designs by Ken Kelly came up with a magnificent design idea for their one story house. Ken worked his magic and completely remodeled their entire home so the clients could achieved the open floorplan design they desired. By removing walls and using one of the three bedrooms, the clients found they had enough space for a beautiful, functional kitchen that opened to the dining and den area. The new design included much needed custom closets and full office cabinetry in the spare bedroom. Kitchen Designs also completely gutted and finished the bathroom with unique and stylish fixtures, tile, and custom cabinets. The kitchen is a fun mixture of Allmilmo European raised wave cabinetry in white coupled with Brookhaven by WoodMode painted cabinets in a blue hue. The couple chose a BlueStar gas range in a slightly darker blue than their cabinets. Quartz counters were taken up the wall by the range hood offering a sense of freshness and contrast. The result is a stunning transformation.

Delighted to be able to share this beautiful renovation in Keynsham. The house has had a fascinating past, with lots of different uses and functions over the years, multiple extensions had left a confused floorplan. However, a logical and thoughtful new layout for a family home was created. This the result! No extra floor area was needed (ie no more extensions), just a clear plan that resolved all the existing spaces. Here a large open kitchen dining area complete with big island unit. This amazing condo remodel features everything from new Benjamin Moore paint to new hardwood floors and most things in between. The kitchen and guest bathroom both received a whole new facelift. In the kitchen the light blue gray flat panel cabinets bring a pop of color that meshes perfectly with the white backsplash and countertops. Gold fixtures and hardware are sprinkled about for the best amount of sparkle. With a new textured vanity and new tiles the guest bathroom is a dream. Porcelain floor tiles and ceramic wall tiles line this bathroom in a beautiful monochromatic color. A new gray vanity with double under-mount sinks was added to the master bathroom as well. All coming together to make this condo look amazing.

キッチンは美味しい食事を作るためには欠かせないスペース。毎日使う場所だからこそ、機能性だけではなくおしゃれさにもこだわりたいものです。ここでは、使い勝手の良さやおしゃれさにこだわったモダンスタイルのペニンシュラキッチンのリフォーム事例と、ペニンシュラキッチンリフォームのポイントをご紹介します。

Ⅱ型ペニンシュラキッチン
Ⅱ型キッチンはシンク、調理台、コンロ、冷蔵庫を2カ所に分け、平行に配置することで調理スペースを広げるレイアウトです。調理の際の動線が短くなるというメリットがあります。
L型ペニンシュラキッチン
L型ペニンシュラキッチンは、シンク、調理台、コンロがL字型に配置されたレイアウトです。ワークトライアングルを作りやすく、動線をコンパクトに抑えることができます。
アイランドペニンシュラキッチン
アイランドペニンシュラキッチンは独立型ペニンシュラキッチンとも呼ばれ、シンク、調理台などを壁面から独立させて設置するレイアウトです。調理台を囲むように作業ができるため、家族や友人など複数で楽しみながらキッチンを共有できます。ホームパーティーや料理教室をする際にも便利でしょう。
ペニンシュラペニンシュラキッチン
ペニンシュラは英語で「半島」を意味します。ペニンシュラキッチンの左右どちらかが壁に接しているレイアウトを指します。調理スペースがオープンになっているため、リビングやダイニングにいる方とコミュニケーションを取りながら調理できるというメリットがあります。

ビルトイン機器の選択

モダンスタイルのペニンシュラキッチンタイプのレイアウト見直しと同時に、ビルトイン機器も検討されてみてはいかがでしょうか。ビルトイン機器とは、建物や家具、設備などの中に組み込んで利用する機器を指します。システムキッチンには、ビルトインコンロ、レンジフード、オーブンレンジ、食器洗浄乾燥機を組み込むことが可能です。ビルトインであればスタイリッシュにペニンシュラキッチンに溶け込み、インテリアの邪魔にもなりません。新築やリフォームの際に取り入れることをおすすめします。

ビルトインコンロには、それぞれ火力の異なるバーナーを組み合わせた3つ口タイプが一般的です。天板素材はガラストップが主流となっていますが、他にガラスコート、フッ素コート、ホーロー、アルミ、ステンレスなどがあります。使い勝手やデザイン、価格などを考慮して選択しましょう。
食器洗浄乾燥機
食器洗浄乾燥機 (食洗機) は手洗いよりも少ない水量できれいに食器を洗浄することができるため、新築やペニンシュラキッチンのリフォーム時には食洗機の導入をおすすめします。国内製のビルトイン食洗機の場合は引き出し式になっているタイプが多いのに対し、海外製のビルトイン食洗機は前開き式になっているものが一般的です。国内製・海外製それぞれで、設置業者や設置可能なシステムペニンシュラキッチンが異なる場合があるため注意しましょう。

収納スペースのアイデア
