Explore this open-plan space of sophistication and style with a dark-coloured kitchen. For this project in Harpenden, the client wanted a cooking space to suit their family requirements but also with a chic and moody feel. This kitchen features Nobilia's 317 Touch and 340 Lacquer Laminate in Black Supermatt for a luxurious yet understated allure. The sleek 12mm ceramic worktop complements the deep tones, providing a modern touch to the space. A focal point is the bronze mirror backsplash, a stunning creation by Southern Counties Glass, adding depth to the space. High-end appliances from AEG, Bora, Blanco, and Quooker seamlessly blend functionality with aesthetics to elevate the kitchen's performance. These appliances add efficiency to daily cooking activities. At the heart of this space stands a large central island for dining and entertaining, while serving as an additional workspace for meal preparation. Suspended above, gold ambient lighting casts a warm glow, adding a touch of glamour to the space. The kitchen finds its greatest expression in the island. Its spaciousness makes it appear majestic, and the overhanging top emphasises its architectural strength. The thick Dekton® top accommodates the integrated sink and Pitt Fire burners, and ends with the breakfast bar. The large tubular hood in painted steel corresponds exactly to the burners and emphasises the vertical lines of the ceiling.

We following all the phase from the initial sketch to the installation. The kitchen has been design in London and manufactured in Italy. Materials: Wood veneer, Wood lacquered Metal. Glass.

This project was one of my favourites to date. The client had given me complete freedom to design a featured kitchen that was big on functionality, practicality and entertainment as much as it was big in design. The mixture of dark timber grain, high-end appliances, LED lighting and minimalistic lines all came together in this stunning, show-stopping kitchen. As you make your way from the front door to the kitchen, it appears before you like a marble masterpiece. The client's had chosen this beautiful natural Italian marble, so maximum use of the marble was the centrepiece of this project. Once I received the pictures of the selected slabs, I had the idea of using the featured butterfly join as the splashback. I was able to work with the 3D team to show how this will look upon completion, and the results speak for themselves. The 3Ds had made the decisions much clearer and gave the clients confidence in the finishes and design. Every project must not only be aesthetically beautiful but should always be practical and functional for the day to day grind... this one has it all!

The sliding door to the left of the cooktop leads into a large scullery. Cabinets in two colours: Proform Eggerboard Matt black cabinets and Laminex Sublime Teak Riven finish cabinets. Handles by Castella. Benchtops: Caesarstone Fresh Concrete. Having the island directly opposite the ovens and fridge allows for a handy nearby work surface. See main project page for all info.
