This project was a one of a kind remodel. it included the demolition of a previously existing wall separating the kitchen area from the living room. The inside of the home was completely gutted down to the framing and was remodeled according the owners specifications. This remodel included a one of a kind custom granite countertop and eating area, custom cabinetry, an indoor outdoor bar, a custom vinyl window, new electrical and plumbing, and a one of a kind entertainment area featuring custom made shelves, and stone fire place.

This San Juan Capistrano family room has a relaxed and eclectic feel - achieved by the combination of smooth lacquered cabinets with textural elements like a reclaimed wood mantel, grasscloth wall paper, and dimensional tile surrounding the fireplace. "Edgy" was how I defined my client's style after meeting with them for the first time. Starting with a neutral base, and then layering in pops of navy and black in the accessories was my solution to creating a cozy but clean living space. The abstract art, geometric rug and pillows, and structured metal pieces all come together to create an "edgy" vibe that is perfect for my clients.

Full gut renovation and facade restoration of an historic 1850s wood-frame townhouse. The current owners found the building as a decaying, vacant SRO (single room occupancy) dwelling with approximately 9 rooming units. The building has been converted to a two-family house with an owner’s triplex over a garden-level rental. Due to the fact that the very little of the existing structure was serviceable and the change of occupancy necessitated major layout changes, nC2 was able to propose an especially creative and unconventional design for the triplex. This design centers around a continuous 2-run stair which connects the main living space on the parlor level to a family room on the second floor and, finally, to a studio space on the third, thus linking all of the public and semi-public spaces with a single architectural element. This scheme is further enhanced through the use of a wood-slat screen wall which functions as a guardrail for the stair as well as a light-filtering element tying all of the floors together, as well its culmination in a 5’ x 25’ skylight.

This two story family room takes advantage of the high ceilings and large windows to create a space that is the clear destination for the family. The open floorpan connects this space to the dining area and kitchen, and the two story fireplace detail adds drama and draws the eye upward.

This is an open space between the kitchen and family room. Everything is done in variations of grey. Medium grey walls, light grey cabinetry, and very dark grey hardwood floors. The linear electric fireplace is so sleek and clean looking. Perfect for those cozy winter nights.

The homeowners were looking to update and increase the functionality and efficiency of their outdated kitchen and revamp their fireplace. By incorporating modern, innovative accents and numerous custom details throughout each space, our design team created a seamless and cohesive style that flows smoothly and complements one other beautifully. The remodeled kitchen features an inviting and open bar area with added seating and storage, gorgeous quartz countertops, custom built-in beverage station, stainless steel appliances and playful chevron mosaic backsplash. The fireplace surround consists of a honed chevron limestone mosaic and limestone hearth tile maintaining the clean lines and neutral color scheme used throughout the home ensuring all elements blend perfectly.
