We gave the home a modern makeover with a new vinyl fence and automated gate. We also installed gray pavers for a clean look. The house has a light gray tone and black trim.

For this siding renovation, the new exterior features of the townhouse are made of deep earthy accent stucco that highlights the brown wood used as a siding panel extending to the back of the house. The house was also designed with a torch-down type of roof complementary to the stucco-Brownwood siding panel.

A new house on 2 acres of former pasture land north of Fort Worth. The overriding design problem was the 16ft of slope across the site and how that should affect the massing of the house. Originally conceived as three separate volumes stepping down the slope, these forms were brought together in the final design to form an open courtyard with a level grass terrace. As much as possible, the site’s natural slope and landscape were unchanged.

Dem Verlauf der Sonne folgend ist das Haus in drei Himmelsrichtungen verglast, vollkommen offen und doch schützend durch die hohe Rückwand und das weit auskragende Dach. Innen- und Außenraum gehen ineinander über. Die knappen Raumabmessungen fühlen sich in der Nutzung großzügig an durch die geschickte funktionale Gliederung. Die geringe Nutzfläche von 60 Quadratmetern relativiert sich durch großflächige Verglasungen zur umlaufenden Terrasse, kleine, leichte Möbel und die Wandelbarkeit der Einbauten, die sich wie das Haus vergrößern und verkleinern lassen. Breite Schiebetüren weiten im Sommer den Raum bis in die Natur – Freiheit und Leichtigkeit prägen das Lebensgefühl. Staging this condo was quite the experience. You walk up a narrow flight of stairs and you arrive on the first floor where there is a dining room, kitchen and a living room. Next floor up is a mezzanine where we created an office which overlooked the living room and there was a powder room on the floor. Up another flight of stairs and you arrive at the hallway which goes off to two bedrooms and a full bathroom as well as the laundry area. Up one more flight of stairs and you are on the rooftop, overlooking Montreal. We staged this entire gem because there were so many floors and we wanted to continue the cozy, inviting look throughout the condo. The view from the garden shows the rear extension with double glazed sliding doors aluminium installed on a cavity white rendered brick wall, which ensures the thermal insolation required by the building control. The patio is entirely covered with honed limestone.

L'edificio presenta un complesso uso dei materiali mattone, intonaco e pietra ed un sapiente utilizzo dei colori. Lo scopo era di ridurre l'impatto visivo e far in modo che si integrasse completamente con il paesaggio circostante. Infatti ogni colore ed ogni materiale è inspirato agli edifici storici presenti sul territorio.
