An ein Bestandshaus aus den 1980er Jahren sollte ein Anbau angefügt werden. Das Haus wurde bereits vorher in den Grundzügen saniert. Der Anbau, der dort vorher war und das Haus von vorne nur unproportional breit aussehen lies, wurde abgerissen, die Grundfläche des alten Anbaus verdoppelt und ganz bewusst als eigener Körper ergänzt. Der Raum darunter wurde mit Faltschiebeläden aus Metall geschlossen und bietet Platz für Gartengeräte. Die Fassade besteht aus bereits grau vorlasiertem sibirischem Lärchenholz, passend dazu wurde auch der Zaun neu gestaltet.

VILLA THEA is divine place for a luxury life on Zakynthos Island. Designed by architect Lucy Lago. The philosophy of the project is to find a balance between the architectural design and the environment. The villa has flowing natural forms, subtle curves in every line. Despite the construction of the building, the villa seems to float on the expanse of the mountain hill of the Keri region. The smoothness of the forms can be traced throughout the project, from the functional solution on the plan and ending with the terraces and the pool around the villa. This project has style and identity. The villa will be an expensive piece of jewelry placed in the vastness of nature. The architectural uniqueness and originality will make villa Thea special in the architectural portfolio of the whole world. Combining futurism with naturism is a step into the future. The use of modern technologies, ecological construction methods put the villa one step higher, and its significance is greater. It is possible to create the motives of nature and in the same time to touch the space theme on the Earth. Villa consists by open living, dining and kitchen area, 8 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, gym, cellar, storage, big swimming pool, garden and parking areas. The interior of the villa is one piece with the entire architectural project designed by Lucy Lago. Organic shapes and curved, flowing lines are part of the space. For the interior, selected white, light shades, glass and reflective surfaces. All attention is directed to the panoramic sea view from the window. Beauty in every single detail, special attention to natural and artificial light. Green plants are the accents of the interior and remind us that we are on the wonderful island of Zakynthos.

OVANLIG FORM GER MAXIMAL FUNKTION Det är inte alltid möjligt att bygga på enklaste sätt. Ibland ställer både juridiska regler och naturens form till det och gör att man måste leta ovanliga lösningar. Här, på sluttningen på en av Skånes vackra åsar, krävdes en ovanlig form för att få rätt på alla svårigheter. Resultatet blev ett unikt hus som glider nästan ostört in på platsen som handen i handsken. LÅT NATUREN SÄTTA TONEN Som arkitekt har man mycket att lära av naturens sätt att lösa problem. Den tar alltid kortaste vägen: den väg som kräver minst energi och ger mest utväxling av ansträngningen. Det låter enkelt men kan i sig leda till väldigt komplexa former. DIAMANTFORMEN VAR LÖSNINGEN Ytan man fick bygga på var strikt begränsad av detaljplanen. Dessutom sluttar tomten ganska kraftigt och det går en väg diagonalt över tomten ner till ett garage som man gärna vill ha kvar. Där nere har man redan byggt en fin uteplats som man gärna vill att huset vänder sig mot. Om inte vägen skulle rivas och ledas om – vilket i sin tur hade lett till att växthus, trädgård, friggebod och uteplats hade fått rivas – så fanns det i princip kvar en triangulär yta där det var möjligt att bygga på. Det är en viktig utgångspunkt för arkitekten att läsa av platsen för att sedan föreslå en så praktiskt, logisk och enkel lösning som möjligt. En svår ekvation: hur gör man så huset, som måste ligga på den högre delen av fastigheten, inte skapar en hög vägg som tornar upp sig framför uteplatsen? Och med en utsikt från allrummet rakt in i en garageport? Det är en vacker plats, men omständigheterna gjorde det svårt att se skönheten. När den diamantformade lösningen väl hade utformats behövdes ingen övertalning, förslaget talade för sig självt. Kunderna höll med om att detta är helt rätt form för platsen och för deras behov. Med en sådan form behöver man ett i övrigt stramt kulör- och materialval. Huset är i sig redan dynamiskt nog.
