As shown in the Before Photo, existing steps constructed with pavers, were breaking and falling apart and the exterior steps became unsafe and unappealing. Complete demo and reconstruction of the Front Door Entry was the goal of the customer. Platinum Ponds & Landscaping met with the customer and discussed their goals and budget. We constructed the new steps provided by Unilock and built them to perfection into the existing patio area below. The next phase is to rebuild the patio below. The customers were thrilled with the outcome!

The design dilemma: Develop a privacy solution, for a charming glass panel front door and sidelights, that is both beautiful and functional. The solution occurred in two parts. First, we added fully closing drapery panels that offer privacy for the family while inside their home. We used a sheer fabric that allows light to pass through but obscures the view from the outside. This solved the privacy needs while inside the home. However, the drapery can not be fully closed when the family is away from their home. Which leads us to the second part of our design solution. We fabricated a custom flat panel sheer that can easily be added or removed when the family leaves the home. The sheer fabric was doubled and acts similarly to the drapery in that it allows light to pass through but obscures the view from the outside. Clear, 3M brand removable hooks were attached to the door and the grommet heading fabric panel easily attaches to the hooks. The result is both beautiful and functional! The original house at this estate had builder-grade characteristics, so we took many of the walls down to create a more open layout. This immediately modernized the house and allowed for a more comfortable, contemporary flow for the homeowner. The unique design choices: gray cabinetry in the kitchen, dark gray doors, rooms painted eggplant and even black, along with ornate, high-end light fixtures, wallpaper and wall coverings, combine for real standout moments in every room. Yet the overall feel of the home remains cozy and inviting.
