Mid-century modern kitchen in Medford, MA, with cherry cabinetry, a small workstation island, quartz countertops, and a custom tile backsplash in shades of blue. We reused the client's vintage blue glass light fixture. Double wall oven, and under counter beverage refrigerator. Project also includes a mudroom and powder room.

Our clients love to cook and had a serious deficit when it came to space. We were able to redesign the space incorporating the breakfast area into the kitchen doubling their storage and wall space. The kitchen is now a chef’s dream! We love how open and bright it is now! Part of the remodel was expanding the windows in the breakfast area to take in their beautiful backyard and adding a new window next to the space where the door used to be.

This 1957 mid-century modern home in North Oaks, MN is beaming with character, charm and happens to be the designer, Megan Dent’s, favorite style. The rambler was purchased in February 2018 and the new design began immediately. Being a 60-year-old home, the whole home remodel made it an exciting, modern and fresh transformation! The galley kitchen features Décor Cabinets, Cambria and Corian Quartz surfaces, original parquet flooring with a beautiful statement pendant. The master bathroom highlights Corian Quartz with a miter fold and a stunning Jeffery Court backsplash. Our Austin studio decided to go bold with this project by ensuring that each space had a unique identity in the Mid-Century Modern style bathroom, butler's pantry, and mudroom. We covered the bathroom walls and flooring with stylish beige and yellow tile that was cleverly installed to look like two different patterns. The mint cabinet and pink vanity reflect the mid-century color palette. The stylish knobs and fittings add an extra splash of fun to the bathroom. The butler's pantry is located right behind the kitchen and serves multiple functions like storage, a study area, and a bar. We went with a moody blue color for the cabinets and included a raw wood open shelf to give depth and warmth to the space. We went with some gorgeous artistic tiles that create a bold, intriguing look in the space. In the mudroom, we used siding materials to create a shiplap effect to create warmth and texture – a homage to the classic Mid-Century Modern design. We used the same blue from the butler's pantry to create a cohesive effect. The large mint cabinets add a lighter touch to the space. --- Project designed by the Atomic Ranch featured modern designers at Breathe Design Studio. This original 1950's kitchen with a pink backsplash and pale blue appliances needed a fresh take. Hardwood floors were installed to match the existing wood on the first floor. Bright white quartz countertops and a white backsplash created using both flat/glossy and matte/raised hex tiles created a textured flower pattern. Slab front cabinets in a mixture of wood and white tackled the storage issues. The pop of orange of the Bertazonni oven is the counter balance to the cool fresh wall color and tons of natural light. A beautiful, functional space to create healthy meals for her family was paramount to our client. We created this fresh space by dropping a touch of Palm Springs into the Pacific Northwest.
