This new front entry door fits well with the midcentury remodeling project. Everything was a complete gutted and remodeled from end to end on Lake Geneva. Jorndt Fahey re-built the home with a new mid-century appeal. The homeowners are empty nesters and were looking for sprawling ranch to entertain and keep family coming back year after year.

Our Austin studio decided to go bold with this project by ensuring that each space had a unique identity in the Mid-Century Modern style bathroom, butler's pantry, and mudroom. We covered the bathroom walls and flooring with stylish beige and yellow tile that was cleverly installed to look like two different patterns. The mint cabinet and pink vanity reflect the mid-century color palette. The stylish knobs and fittings add an extra splash of fun to the bathroom. The butler's pantry is located right behind the kitchen and serves multiple functions like storage, a study area, and a bar. We went with a moody blue color for the cabinets and included a raw wood open shelf to give depth and warmth to the space. We went with some gorgeous artistic tiles that create a bold, intriguing look in the space. In the mudroom, we used siding materials to create a shiplap effect to create warmth and texture – a homage to the classic Mid-Century Modern design. We used the same blue from the butler's pantry to create a cohesive effect. Winner of the 2018 Tour of Homes Best Remodel, this whole house re-design of a 1963 Bennet & Johnson mid-century raised ranch home is a beautiful example of the magic we can weave through the application of more sustainable modern design principles to existing spaces. The new entry hall interior. An existing mid-century ranch was given a new lease on life with a whole house remodel and addition. An existing sunken living room had the floor raised and the front entry was relocated to make room for a complete master suite. The roof/ceiling over the entry and stair was raised with multiple clerestory lights introducing light into the center of the home. Finally, a compartmentalized existing layout was converted to an open plan with the kitchen/dining/living areas sharing a common area at the back of the home.

The open layout of this newly renovated home is spacious enough for the clients home work office. The exposed beam and slat wall provide architectural interest . And there is plenty of room for the client's eclectic art collection.

Partridge Pond is Acorn Deck House Company’s newest model home. This house is a contemporary take on the classic Deck House. Its open floor plan welcomes guests into the home, while still maintaining a sense of privacy in the master wing and upstairs bedrooms. It features an exposed post and beam structure throughout as well as the signature Deck House ceiling decking in the great room and master suite. The goal for the home was to showcase a mid-century modern and contemporary hybrid that inspires Deck House lovers, old and new.
