Valley View kitchen, complete with an abundant amount of space for cooking and entertaining. Cabinets are custom made with shaker style doors and drawers finished in Sherwin Williams "Greek Villa." Cabinet hardware throughout the kitchen are retro bin cups and knobs from Etsy in pewter. All appliances are stainless steel, Zephyr Siena 36" hood above the 36" induction range. Frigidaire Double Electric Wall Oven and side by side single door refrigerator and freezer, the dishwasher is panel ready and blends in with the rest of the cabinets. The raised bar at the peninsula (left) with a live edge walnut slab, also contains a Zephyr wine fridge delicately tucked below (bottom left) and a prep sink with a Brizo Litze Bar faucet. Lighting over the peninsula are teardrop pendants from Birch Lane. Floating shelves on the range wall are also live edge walnut slabs. Stainless steel counters and backsplash throughout, with a stainless steel single basin sink with Brizo Litze stainless steel faucet located in the island. The pot filler at the range is a Brizo Euro wall mount is also in stainless steel. A Knotty Alder 6-panel door, with frosted glass leads to the pantry, which contains another sink and ample storage for dry goods. Walls and ceilings in the kitchen are painted in Benjamin Moore's Dulce de Leche.

My clients wanted to bring in color but tie in some Spanish revival influences they had on the exterior. This home is that, a marriage of Spanish revival influences with a bit of whimsy and a lot of color. They liked the footprint but needed storage, so we stacked the wall cabinets and adding a row of shallow cabinets behind the cooktop. A wet bar in the living room was removed and we used that space for a much-needed kitchen pantry. We also enlarged the window some to help balance the sink a bit more and bring in more natural light.

Our fresh take on Mediterranean design for Vicki Gunvalson of the Real Houseives of Orange County included a brand new kitchen remodel with Moroccan influences in a creamy white, worn grey and gilded gold color palette. The matte Spanish white walls are adorned with natural unglazed clay tile from Morocco, the lantern light fixtures with carved wood tassel embellishments are custom, the appliance package includes Thermador, Miele and subzero, upholstered bar stools push up to the custom carved wood island with calacatta marble, succulents were arranged in antique wood dough bowls and all cream white dishes and worn wood accessories were used to soften the ambiance.

A MOROCCAN INSPIRED KITCHEN The kitchen was inspired by the rich Moroccan blue back splash tile Homeowners’ request: A contemporary Moroccan flair kitchen using royal blue, modern appliances ,an island for entertaining, and loads of storage. Designer secret: Working with the same layout, for the sink and stove area and borrowing space from the small adjacent room was the best solution to make this underutilized small kitchen into a the perfect entertainment space and adding a island for their entertaining purposes. I wanted to to create a feature wall displaying Laila’s & Mahar’s colorful and vibrant characters The royal blue Moroccan tile was the starting point, we decided to keep the cabinets white for a classic look and then layer in a rich royal blue for accent colors that grounds all the elements together. Brushed oil bronze hardware adds a warmth and richness. We want our kitchen to feel inviting and happy, a place where our family and guests can gather without being in our way during meal prep time. Materials used: CABINETS; bright white shaker doors for the main of the kitchen and royal blue base cabinets adds a punch of color .– QUARTZ COUNTERS; Silestone, Eternal Calacatta gold – FLOOR TILE; Stonetec 12” x 24 light grey– Maiolica Mai decore white & royal blue– WALL PAINT; 6206-21 Sketch paper – Appliances; Fisher& Paykel
