This large kitchen-great room remodel, was a huge change for this family of 5. By removing the structural wall between the living room and kitchen made a huge improvement upon this living space. We also eliminated the living room altogether and moved the dining room table in front of the newly raised fireplace. Added a mini-sports bar, walk-in pantry, exterior accessible laundry room, morning coffee station and tall tuscany stone fireplace, where a few of the many features that this space has to offer. The client wanted a Tuscan style Kitchen and loved the stone hearths we had done before so we created this complete wall of stone which compliments the granite countertops, tumbled travertine backsplash with bronze accents. An iron and crystal chandelier hightlights the large island.

.In this kitchen we designed, no one could believe this was a tiny kitchen. What we ended up doing was combining the dining room with the kitchen to create one large chef's kitchen. The dining room was relocated to the small narrow family ...room. And the large formal living room was transformed into the great room. Our client loves it! As our client is a professional chef, we were able to give her two dishwashers, a sub zero, warming drawer, 6 burner stove, double wall oven, microwwave and a baking pantry, so she did not need to bend down to pick up the heavy mixers. All her baking utensils, are located in one area. Her choice was to make it more of a mediterrean style kitchen, but we wanted to make it a bit more transitional by the use of stainless steel appliances and give her an eating counter. By taking down the wall between the Kitchen and the dining room we let in all this natural light. Barstools are located at the end o the pennisula. This well appointed kitchen features a chefs oven with elaborate cast stone hood and corbels, granite countertops, and tile back splash. The detailed shaker style cabinetry has flush inset doors with beaded reveal, and glazed finish. The exposed wood beams and hickory wood floors extend from the Living and Dining Room through this elegant Kitchen. This kitchen also features a coffee bar and beverage center with ice maker. The clients worked with the collaborative efforts of builders Ron and Fred Parker, architect Don Wheaton, and interior designer Robin Froesche to create this incredible home.
