A lower level family room is bathed in light from the southern lake exposure. A custom stone blend was used on the fireplace. The wood paneling was reclaimed from the original cottage on the property. Criss craft pattern fabric was used to reupholster an antique wing back chair. Collected antiques and fun accessories like the paddles help reenforce the lakeside design.

Cozy bright greatroom with coffered ceiling detail. Beautiful south facing light comes through Pella Reserve Windows (screens roll out of bottom of window sash). This room is bright and cheery and very inviting. We even hid a remote shade in the beam closest to the windows for privacy at night and shade if too bright.

A custom entertainment unit was designed to be a focal point in the Living Room. A centrally placed gas fireplace visually anchors the room, with an generous offering of storage cupboards & shelves above. This step-down family room features a coffered ceiling and a fireplace with a black slate hearth. We made the fireplace’s surround and mantle to match the raised paneled doors on the built-in storage cabinets on the right. For a unified look and to create a subtle focal point, we added moulding to the rest of the wall and above the fireplace. Sleek and contemporary, this beautiful home is located in Villanova, PA. Blue, white and gold are the palette of this transitional design. With custom touches and an emphasis on flow and an open floor plan, the renovation included the kitchen, family room, butler’s pantry, mudroom, two powder rooms and floors.
