The snug lounge is a more traditional, warm and cosy space. Completed with dark blue painted walls and strong contrasting deep skirting boards and picture rail. The furnishings are all soft with bold colours to provide warmth and vibrancy to the space whilst a log burning stove set within a stunning painted timber surround complete the space.

Guest House living room with ornate white moldings. In traditional style with contemporary colors. Gold, white, cream and blue furnishings. White, gold and almost black are used in this very large, traditional remodel of an original Landry Group Home, filled with contemporary furniture, modern art and decor. White painted moldings on walls and ceilings, combined with black stained wide plank wood flooring. Very grand spaces, including living room, family room, dining room and music room feature hand knotted rugs in modern light grey, gold and black free form styles. All large rooms, including the master suite, feature white painted fireplace surrounds in carved moldings. Music room is stunning in black venetian plaster and carved white details on the ceiling with burgandy velvet upholstered chairs and a burgandy accented Baccarat Crystal chandelier. All lighting throughout the home, including the stairwell and extra large dining room hold Baccarat lighting fixtures. Master suite is composed of his and her baths, a sitting room divided from the master bedroom by beautiful carved white doors. Guest house shows arched white french doors, ornate gold mirror, and carved crown moldings. All the spaces are comfortable and cozy with warm, soft textures throughout. Client brief. To create a retreat with a calm and neutral base with some accents of colour, a place to relax in the evenings. So keeping to an elegant, calm vibe in the design tone, but also having a wow factor to reflect the house itself and be proud of when entertaining guests

This room was yellow with bookshelves filled to the brim and mismatched cushions and furnishings. There was no mantlepiece or focus point to the room. After the walls were painted grey we then styled it using grey and white accessories, a selection of the clients books, picture frames and decorative items. We added some simple flowers and plants and created a fresh, welcoming and cosy space.

In early 2002 Vetter Denk Architects undertook the challenge to create a highly designed affordable home. Working within the constraints of a narrow lake site, the Aperture House utilizes a regimented four-foot grid and factory prefabricated panels. Construction was completed on the home in the Fall of 2002. The Aperture House derives its name from the expansive walls of glass at each end framing specific outdoor views – much like the aperture of a camera. It was featured in the March 2003 issue of Milwaukee Magazine and received a 2003 Honor Award from the Wisconsin Chapter of the AIA.
