Our clients wanted the ultimate modern farmhouse custom dream home. They found property in the Santa Rosa Valley with an existing house on 3 ½ acres. They could envision a new home with a pool, a barn, and a place to raise horses. JRP and the clients went all in, sparing no expense. Thus, the old house was demolished and the couple’s dream home began to come to fruition. The result is a simple, contemporary layout with ample light thanks to the open floor plan. When it comes to a modern farmhouse aesthetic, it’s all about neutral hues, wood accents, and furniture with clean lines. Every room is thoughtfully crafted with its own personality. Yet still reflects a bit of that farmhouse charm. Their considerable-sized kitchen is a union of rustic warmth and industrial simplicity. The all-white shaker cabinetry and subway backsplash light up the room. All white everything complimented by warm wood flooring and matte black fixtures. The stunning custom Raw Urth reclaimed steel hood is also a star focal point in this gorgeous space. Not to mention the wet bar area with its unique open shelves above not one, but two integrated wine chillers. It’s also thoughtfully positioned next to the large pantry with a farmhouse style staple: a sliding barn door. The master bathroom is relaxation at its finest. Monochromatic colors and a pop of pattern on the floor lend a fashionable look to this private retreat. Matte black finishes stand out against a stark white backsplash, complement charcoal veins in the marble looking countertop, and is cohesive with the entire look. In transforming their Aspen retreat, our clients sought a departure from typical mountain decor. With an eclectic aesthetic, we lightened walls and refreshed furnishings, creating a stylish and cosmopolitan yet family-friendly and down-to-earth haven. This living room transformation showcases modern elegance. With an updated fireplace, ample seating, and luxurious neutral furnishings, the space exudes sophistication. Our young professional clients desired sophisticated furnishings and a modern update to their current living and dining room areas. First, the walls were painted a creamy white and new white oak flooring was installed throughout. A striking modern dining room chandelier was installed, and layers of luxurious furnishings were added. Overscaled artwork, long navy drapery, and a trio of large mirrors accentuate the soaring vaulted ceilings. A sapphire velvet sofa anchors the living room, while stylish swivel chairs and a comfortable chaise lounge complete the seating area.

This gem of a home was designed by homeowner/architect Eric Vollmer. It is nestled in a traditional neighborhood with a deep yard and views to the east and west. Strategic window placement captures light and frames views while providing privacy from the next door neighbors. The second floor maximizes the volumes created by the roofline in vaulted spaces and loft areas. Four skylights illuminate the ‘Nordic Modern’ finishes and bring daylight deep into the house and the stairwell with interior openings that frame connections between the spaces. The skylights are also operable with remote controls and blinds to control heat, light and air supply. Unique details abound! Metal details in the railings and door jambs, a paneled door flush in a paneled wall, flared openings. Floating shelves and flush transitions. The main bathroom has a ‘wet room’ with the tub tucked under a skylight enclosed with the shower. This is a Structural Insulated Panel home with closed cell foam insulation in the roof cavity. The on-demand water heater does double duty providing hot water as well as heat to the home via a high velocity duct and HRV system.

Located in Surrey Hills, this Grade II Listed cottage design was inspired by its heritage, special architectural and historic interest. Our perception was to surround this place with honest and solid materials, soft and natural fabrics, handmade items and family treasures to bring the values and needs of this family at the center of their home. We paid attention to what really matters and brought them together in a slower way of living. By separating the silent parts of this house from the vibrant ones, we gave individuality; this created different levels for use. We left open space to give room to life, change and creativity. We left things visible to touch those that matter. We gave a narrative sense of life.

Ce projet de plus de 150 m2 est né par l'unification de deux appartements afin d'accueillir une grande famille. Le défi est alors de concevoir un lieu confortable pour les grands et les petits, un lieu de convivialité pour tous, en somme un vrai foyer chaleureux au cœur d'un des plus anciens quartiers de la ville. Le volume sous la charpente est généreusement exploité pour réaliser un espace ouvert et modulable, la zone jour. Elle est composée de trois espaces distincts tout en étant liés les uns aux autres par une grande verrière structurante réalisée en chêne. Le séjour est le lieu où se retrouve la famille, où elle accueille, en lien avec la cuisine pour la préparation des repas, mais aussi avec la salle d’étude pour surveiller les devoirs des quatre petits écoliers. Our newly completed living room project exudes opulence and elegance, reminiscent of a luxurious resort. Creamy whites and sandy beige create a sense of serenity, while accents of brown, green, and subtle gold add warmth and richness. The magnificent new marble veined tile floor is softened with an earthy jute rug. The ceiling soars overhead, adorned with rustic wood beams and a resplendent chandelier. Two sumptuous Chesterfield sofas in a rich, dark chocolate leather already owned by the client provide ample seating for relaxation around the warm fire. Magnificent mirrors flanked by wall sconces reflect the beautiful garden outside. We added wall paneling to add a beautiful rhythm to the walls. Decorative elements add personality and charm. In this space, you're enveloped in an atmosphere of refined comfort and tranquility, making it the perfect retreat to escape the cares of the outside world.
