This antique boy and goose fountain is surrounded by a European Hornbeam hedge at the edge of an arrival courtyard. During the Summer annual and tropical planters are placed in and around this feature to help animate it.

Beautiful natural pond surrounded by plants and perennial flowers all around. This pond feature also has a bubbler fountain on one side for the soothing sound of moving water.

This very hot Campbell home needed some cooling off so we added this tall, soothing-colored urn overflowing with water that can be seen from all points in the yard, even inside the glass doors in the family room. It is lit up at night. There is a swing under the shade-producing arbor to sit and enjoy the fountain and watch the people playing golf on the mini-golf course. The water is stored underground, eliminating any issues with evaporation, bugs, or algae.

A magical new garden was key to our client’s ambitious renovation plans for this exceptional house in East Sussex. Set in grounds of just over one acre – the once featureless garden simply fell away from the house with little to connect the two or draw you outside. A new circular driveway now sweeps around the ancient oak tree to a cool, scented white garden that is both structured and romantic. Concentric rings of yew hedging divide borders brimming with early scented narcissi, alliums, foxgloves, campanula, anemone and more. The palette explodes in the rear garden as mown paths cut through swathes of wildflowers down to the lake sized pond lined with bulrushes and swirling with goldfish and dragonflies. A water feature Mark designed for the RHS Tatton Park garden show is replicated here at the client’s request and is the central feature of the bamboo garden that now links the front and rear gardens. The fallen oak tree that once lay in the front garden is now to be enjoyed in the sunken seating area and pond-side benches. A great example of how a compact backyard can be turned into a beautiful outdoor haven. With a creative approach, this small space now boasts all the main features on the client's wish list: pergola, gas fire pit, water feature and covered patio area. The square, horizontal/vertical layout gives a modern feel, which is merges with its wooded surroundings thanks to a combination of wood, brick, stone and slate. The height of the pergola frames the landscape and creates a cosy atmosphere under the surrounding tall trees. Kristin Karch

This project featured a sunken hot tub in the bluestone terrace. We installed radiant heat beneath the terrace so the hot tub could be used all winter without having to shovel snow. The blank rear wall of the house was decorated with a large wooden trellis to introduce climbing hydrangeas and clematis to the garden.
