This 1950's home was chopped up with the segmented rooms of the period. The front of the house had two living spaces, separated by a wall with a door opening, and the long-skinny hearth area was difficult to arrange. The kitchen had been remodeled at some point, but was still dated. The homeowners wanted more space, more light, and more MODERN. So we delivered. We knocked out the walls and added a beam to open up the three spaces. Luxury vinyl tile in a warm, matte black set the base for the space, with light grey walls and a mid-grey ceiling. The fireplace was totally revamped and clad in cut-face black stone. Cabinetry and built-ins in clear-coated maple add the mid-century vibe, as does the furnishings. And the geometric backsplash was the starting inspiration for everything. We'll let you just peruse the photos, with before photos at the end, to see just how dramatic the results were!

This eclectic kitchen design in Laguna Hills is the perfect combination of location, layout, and style. The kitchen, design by Bruce Colucci, maximizes the use of natural light and open space. This was accomplished by removing a load bearing wall and installing new Milgard windows and sliding glass doors. The resulting high ceiling and exposed beam is a show stopping feature, and the mosaic glass tile backsplash extends from countertop to ceiling along the angled wall, drawing your eye to the kitchen and showcasing the vaulted ceiling. The kitchen island offers a dividing line between the food preparation zones and the entertaining zone in this great room style space. The island includes a Kohler sink and an induction cooktop with Best’s Cattura downdraft ventilation. The white Wood Mode-Brookhaven cabinets are beautifully offset by the Aqua Shade island cabinetry, all topped by a Cambria quartz countertop. This kitchen design is packed with amazing features and appliances, including a Bosch induction cooktop, oven and dishwasher, along with a large LG French door refrigerator, Task Lighting angled power strips, and Lutron Caseta lighting controls. Another stunning collaboration with our interior design partner Fleur Interior Design; Beautifully blends monochromatic, linear furniture design with luxurious fabrics, wall coverings and Karndean's Urban Spotted Gum flooring. Perfectly demonstrating that contemporary doesn't always have to mean "too clinical". Parallel furniture lines accentuate the room's length and help draw focus to the design’s centrepiece - the iconic, Sub-Zero refrigerators.

This modern kitchen exudes a refreshing ambiance, enhanced by the presence of large glass windows that usher in ample natural light. The design is characterized by a contemporary vibe, and a prominent island with a stylish splashback becomes a focal point, adding both functionality and aesthetic appeal to the space. The combination of modern elements, the abundance of natural light, and the well-defined island contribute to the overall inviting atmosphere of this kitchen.

We expanded the size of the kitchen by removing a large peninsula that cut off the living space from the kitchen. We added a functional Island with plenty of seating and closed off a wall in the previous eating area to have a continuous wall where we can center this beautiful commercial range.

The dated maple cabinetry was replaced with custom pure white recessed style cabinets accented with gold-colored hardware. Both the countertops and the full-height backsplash were designed with a stunning marble-inspired Calcutta Laza Quartz slab. The existing wood floor in the family room, kitchen, and office were replaced with LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) flooring, chosen purposely for its beauty, comfort and easy maintenance.

This beautiful transitional kitchen was remodeled with Waypoint cabinets and brushed nickel hardware. This beverage fridge is located in the perfect location looking over the new living room making the perfect space for hosting and entertaining!

Main Line Kitchen Design is a unique business model! We are a group of skilled Kitchen Designers each with many years of experience planning kitchens around the Delaware Valley. And we are cabinet dealers for 8 nationally distributed cabinet lines much like traditional showrooms. Appointment Information Unlike full showrooms open to the general public, Main Line Kitchen Design works only by appointment. Appointments can be scheduled days, nights, and weekends either in your home or in our office and selection center. During office appointments we display clients kitchens on a flat screen TV and help them look through 100’s of sample doorstyles, almost a thousand sample finish blocks and sample kitchen cabinets. During home visits we can bring samples, take measurements, and make design changes on laptops showing you what your kitchen can look like in the very room being renovated. This is more convenient for our customers and it eliminates the expense of staffing and maintaining a larger space that is open to walk in traffic. We pass the significant savings on to our customers and so we sell cabinetry for less than other dealers, even home centers like Lowes and The Home Depot. We believe that since a web site like Houzz.com has over half a million kitchen photos, any advantage to going to a full kitchen showroom with full kitchen displays has been lost. Almost no customer today will ever get to see a display kitchen in their door style and finish because there are just too many possibilities. And the design of each kitchen is unique anyway. Our design process allows us to spend more time working on our customer’s designs.
