This kitchen remodel in Lakewood has undergone such an amazing transformation from a dark, dated space to bright and functional! We experienced many obstacles in this tight space but was able to design around the challenges to create a beautiful and functional space. The original design intent was to bring the cabinets all the way to the ceiling but found out this wasn’t an option as all the soffits had interior mechanical systems and couldn’t be reconfigured. One solution was to raise the soffits on the range and sink walls to gain an extra 6” of cabinet space and build out the soffit above the refrigerator to create a custom built-in look. This extension of the soffit created the perfect opportunity for a narrow pantry cabinet facing the dining room which adds much needed storage space. By painting the soffits the same color as the cabinets, we were able to install the crown trim on top of the soffit in lieu of the cabinets to create the illusion of taller cabinets and lengthening the ceiling height. We omitted the wall cabinet to the left of the range to create a more open space both visibly and functionally. This provided the opportunity to install an accent pendant over the open counter which has been lowered to maintain one counter height throughout for a seamless look. Decorative door panels give the perfect finishing touches on the cabinetry and truly convey a custom look. The cabinets were finished in Waypoint’s Shaker style in Linen color and were paired with Amrock’s stunning gunmetal finish hardware. The existing floor tile was replaced with Daltile’s Forest Park Maple wood-look plank which now extends into the dining room creating a natural separation of kitchen/dining space to the adjacent Family room. The warmth of the floor tile compliments the Linen cabinetry color and Gunmetal finishes throughout. This beautiful kitchen offers a beautiful and functional design solution and we are thrilled our client can love their personalized kitchen for many years to come!

Die Doppelhaushälfte wurde kernsaniert und nach den Wünschen der Kunden offen und zeitlos ausgestattet. Im Erdgeschoss ließen wir dazu die Küchenwände entfernen. Der Eingang ist jetzt mit einer raumhohen Schrankanlage – vom Schreiner auf Maß gefertigt – und einer Mattglas-Schiebetür abgetrennt. Eines der Schrankelemente ist eine offene Garderobe zum Flur, in den anderen Schränken sind Kühlschrank, Backofen und Küchengeräte in Richtung Küche untergebracht. Die Spüle ist unter dem Fenster flächenbündig in die Arbeitsplatte aus cremefarbenem Silestone eingelassen. Die Position wurde dabei so gewählt, dass sich beide Fensterflügel an der Armatur vorbei öffnen lassen. Rechts läuft die Arbeitsplatte in ein offenes Fach für die dort angeschlossenen Küchengeräte hinein. So lassen sich diese für die Benutzung einfach nach vorn ziehen. Werden sie nicht gebraucht, kann das Fach mit einem Rollladen geschlossen werden. Auf der anderen Seite ist das Kochfeld mit integriertem Muldenlüfter untergebracht. Beleuchtet wird die Arbeitsfläche durch eingelassene LED-Leisten in den Oberschränken. Abgetrennt wird die Küche durch ein halbhohes Schrankelement mit einem eingebauten Weinkühlschrank an der Kopfseite. Es dient zugleich als Rückwand für die Eckbank am Essplatz. Seine Deckplatte aus Nussbaum nimmt die Optik des Bodens wieder auf.

Two Craftmade Thatcher mini pendant lights over the peninsula. A Blanco Diamond Silgranite undermount sink in Truffle and Moen Glenshire single handle high arc pull down faucet with soap dispenser in Mediterranean Bronze finish. The flooring is Mannington Adura Flex Meridian Stucco 12x24 vinyl tile.

Perfect Beige shaker-style cabinets from Crystal Cabinets frame this beautiful kitchen, part of a massive first floor remodel where a wall was taken out and the spaces were opened up and expanded. Alder wood in acorn wood cabinets and open shelving compliment the Adura LVP flooring and stairs. The space opens into the view of the updated fireplace with floating shelves and vertical stacked tile.

Full condo renovation: replaced carpet and laminate flooring with continuous LVP throughout; painted kitchen cabinets; added tile backsplash in kitchen; replaced appliances, sink, and faucet; replaced light fixtures and repositioned/added lights; selected all new furnishings- some brand new, some salvaged from second-hand sellers. Goal of this project was to stretch the dollars, so we worked hard to put money into the areas with highest return and get creative where possible. Phase 2 will be to update additional light fixtures and repaint more areas.

The older couple needed a kitchenette to be on the same level as their bedroom. Their large house has three levels, making it a long difficult trek for the couple with health issues. Originally housing a billiard table, this room was converted to house a small kitchenette. A single burner induction cooktop is perfect for them to make their breakfast.

This Lansing, MI kitchen remodel is a distinctive mission style design with Medallion Cabinetry flat panel kitchen cabinets in a warm wood finish. The design is accented by black matte Richelieu hardware and black GE appliances. A solid surface Corian countertop with a 1" coved backsplash beautifully finishes off the design, topped by a white subway tile backsplash.

The modern kitchen of the 1950’s was streamlined with built-in appliances and ample cabinet storage! Unfortunately, modern of the 50’s isn’t so modern anymore so these homeowners tore the kitchen out and along with it, a wall. I was called in after demo was completed to help with the design! A good kitchen design isn’t just about aesthetics — gorgeous cabinets, beautiful floors, fabulous appliances, and one-of-a-kind countertops. Although those are all very important, function and organization are always my first priority. Organization isn’t just about having a space designated for each kitchen item. It has more to do with keeping all your necessary gadgets used for a certain task within reach. Even small kitchens can have different zones. In this kitchen we designated the back wall for the baking area. And in doing so, we made sure there was ample space and organization for all of their baking goodies. We even added a few more inches of depth to the wall cabinet to accommodate storage needs. Every era has trending colors! We chose to stay with the classic white and a neutral cappuccino to do a two-tone cabinet. Then we accented the baking cabinets with charcoal. Unless you are feeling inspired by a new trending color, only a splash of the color is necessary to update your space. If you aren’t brave enough to put it on your cabinets, bring it in through a rug or some new accessories. Granite will always be my number one choice for countertops! It’s durability, color range, and uniqueness set it apart from all the man-made options out there. This color, Santa Cecilia, has been a popular color for ages and blends seamlessly with the kitchen palette. We are spoiled today to have so many options for our kitchens!
