And we are cabinet dealers for 8 nationally distributed cabinet lines much like traditional showrooms. Appointment Information Unlike full showrooms open to the general public, Main Line Kitchen Design works only by appointment. Appointments can be scheduled days, nights, and weekends either in your home or in our office and selection center. During office appointments we display clients kitchens on a flat screen TV and help them look through 100’s of sample doorstyles, almost a thousand sample finish blocks and sample kitchen cabinets. During home visits we can bring samples, take measurements, and make design changes on laptops showing you what your kitchen can look like in the very room being renovated. This is more convenient for our customers and it eliminates the expense of staffing and maintaining a larger space that is open to walk in traffic. We pass the significant savings on to our customers and so we sell cabinetry for less than other dealers, even home centers like Lowes and The Home Depot. We believe that since a web site like Houzz.com has over half a million kitchen photos, any advantage to going to a full kitchen showroom with full kitchen displays has been lost. Almost no customer today will ever get to see a display kitchen in their door style and finish because there are just too many possibilities. And the design of each kitchen is unique anyway. Our design process allows us to spend more time working on our customer’s designs. This is what we enjoy most about our business and it is what makes the difference between an average and a great kitchen design. What had been a wonderful new construction project got even better when learned that the homeowner wanted to build a contemporary bar - kind of like a kitchen, actually - with stone countertops, high-end appliances, and beautiful tile and custom cabinets in the basement. It's a unique project in that it is not fully a kitchen [there's only a beverage fridge, drawer microwave, ice maker, and dishwasher, but no oven], and it's more than a simple bar as it accommodates food preparation or a catering service. For the homeowner, who is a huge Vikings fan and entertains large groups of sports-loving fans, the perfect project was a full bar/kitchenette that would serve as the ideal place for friends to gather, eat and drink.!

Boho meets Portuguese design in a stunning transformation of this Van Ness tudor in the upper northwest neighborhood of Washington, DC. Our team’s primary objectives were to fill space with natural light, period architectural details, and cohesive selections throughout the main level and primary suite. At the entry, new archways are created to maximize light and flow throughout the main level while ensuring the space feels intimate. A new kitchen layout along with a peninsula grounds the chef’s kitchen while securing its part in the everyday living space. Well-appointed dining and living rooms infuse dimension and texture into the home, and a pop of personality in the powder room round out the main level. Strong raw wood elements, rich tones, hand-formed elements, and contemporary nods make an appearance throughout the newly renovated main level and primary suite of the home.

The old Kitchen had natural wood cabinets that extended to the ceiling and dark stone countertops. Kitchen remodel within the existing 12′ x 13′ footprint. By vaulting the ceilings, adding skylights and enlarging the window over the sink, we brought in more volume and light. These elements along with the new soft neutral color palette make the space feel much larger and lighter.

This beautiful and inviting retreat compliments the adjacent rooms creating a total home environment for entertaining, relaxing and recharging. Soft off white painted cabinets are topped with Taj Mahal quartzite counter tops and finished with matte off white subway tiles. A custom marble insert was placed under the hood for a pop of color for the cook. Strong geometric patterns of the doors and drawers create a soothing and rhythmic pattern for the eye. Balance and harmony are achieved with symmetric design details and patterns. Soft brass accented pendants light up the peninsula and seating area. The open shelf section provides a colorful display of the client's beautiful collection of decorative glass and ceramics.

This kitchen was originally a dark stained wood. We lightened the whole space by painting the cabinetry SW0050 Classic White Buff and Glazed with Urban Bronze. The countertops got a make over with Taj Mahal Quartzite as well as the backsplash tile. The style is still traditional but the renovation now gives this family an updated, lighter space to entertain in.

Like most kitchens, this basement bar kitchenette was all about the materials. Making the right selections is critical to a project's success, especially a kitchen, so how does that work? To make sure we get the selections right, we follow a plan, or more accurately, a selection sequence, that ensures we make the right selections in the right order. ​ For kitchens and bathrooms, material selections follow a simple cadence - one, two, three. First countertops and tile, then plumbing fixtures, and, finally, hardware and accessories. So, why countertops and tile first? ​Simple, they have the greatest impact on the look, color, and mood of a room, and, much like the foundation, they are critical to the stability of a house. Selecting the right countertops (and corresponding tile) is critical to the aesthetic stability of a space. ​In our three step process, the selection of countertops is intricately linked to the selection of tile. Yes, we begin with the countertops, but tile selection is only a half step behind. The two materials work in tandem given their proximity to each other ( often they actually touch each other). Another consideration is selection flexibility. There are literally hundreds of thousands of tile options, making it easier to find the right tile to match the chosen countertops than it is to find countertops to match a specific tile. To the cool and creamy quartzite countertop, we added a dark, rich counterpart - walnut. The elevated countertop, the one where friends sit and upon which drinks are set is warm and welcoming.

Общественное пространство представляет собой объединенную зону гостиной, столовой и кухни. Кухню мы поместили в нишу. Таким образом, с одной стороны, она спрятана от прямого взгляда, с другой же, находится в непосредственной близости к месту общего единения. Двери и панели в квартире выполнены на заказ по нашим эскизам и, соответственно, решены в единой стилистике. Благодаря этому удалось создать цельное пространство. Теплая текстура и тон натурального дуба еще ярче проступает на фоне серой плитки.
