The European kitchen "slab" cabinets or in their more common name the flat panel cabinets became popular more than 3-4 decades ago across the European continent and in the past decade or so started to show in the US as well. The owners of this kitchen were looking to create a semi-open kitchen and Livingroom design with a clean and sunbathed kitchen space. To create an open concept but still divided space we utilized the ceiling instead of the walls. All the walls were removed but the ceiling of the kitchen remained at normal height while the Livingroom boosted vaulted ceilings, this way the two spaces were separately defined. The 2 large corner windows were preserved, and the sink was relocated to that corner of the kitchen and to add additional light we framed a new entry door made by Rustica. This door is all glass with a thin frame of steel gave another much needed light penetration to the kitchen space. The island design includes waterfall panels made from the same cabinet material instead of the countertop stone. The upper cabinets color matches the wall paint thus making them almost invisible in the space.

Важной задачей было вписать в интерьер множество декоративный тарелочек, привезенных из разных городов. Это всегда огромное испытание для дизайнера. Озвучив такой запрос, заказчик подвергает дизайнера в ужас. В душе мы надеемся поменять мнение хозяев и в процессе работы не найти места для этих сувениров. И действительно, чаще всего подобного рода сувениры не являются большой ценностью. Приходит понимание, что они не украсят интерьер, а прекрасные воспоминания о поездках лучше реализовать просмотром фотоальбомов. Но для этой семьи поездки в необычные места и коллекционирование сувениров – это часть жизни. Важно было запланировать для «коллекции впечатлений» правильное место. Я думаю, что у нас получилось создать интерьер, в который вписались декоративные тарелочки и более того, они смогли дополнить интерьер, сделать его индивидуальным и еще более аутентичным.

This custom Mint Blue colored kitchen was recently remodeled in Depew, NY! The cabinets come from a company called Mid Continent who can make custom colored cabinets using Sherwin Williams paint colors! Mint Blue cabinets are topped with a soft white Solid Surface countertop. This kitchen features stainless steel appliances and cute accent decor! This kitchen even fits a large angled island with enough overhang for bar seating!

This “Blue for You” kitchen is truly a cook’s kitchen with its 48” Wolf dual fuel range, steamer oven, ample 48” built-in refrigeration and drawer microwave. The 11-foot-high ceiling features a 12” lighted tray with crown molding. The 9’-6” high cabinetry, together with a 6” high crown finish neatly to the underside of the tray. The upper wall cabinets are 5-feet high x 13” deep, offering ample storage in this 324 square foot kitchen. The custom cabinetry painted the color of Benjamin Moore’s “Jamestown Blue” (HC-148) on the perimeter and “Hamilton Blue” (HC-191) on the island and Butler’s Pantry. The main sink is a cast iron Kohler farm sink, with a Kohler cast iron under mount prep sink in the (100” x 42”) island. While this kitchen features much storage with many cabinetry features, it’s complemented by the adjoining butler’s pantry that services the formal dining room. This room boasts 36 lineal feet of cabinetry with over 71 square feet of counter space. Not outdone by the kitchen, this pantry also features a farm sink, dishwasher, and under counter wine refrigeration.
