At the core of this transformation was the client’s aspiration for an open, interconnected space. The removal of barriers between the kitchen, dining, and living areas created an expansive, fluid layout, elevating the home’s ambiance and facilitating seamless interaction among spaces. The new open layout is the perfect space to cook and entertain merging sophistication with functionality. The journey began with the client’s exploration of colors, eventually embracing Benjamin Moore’s Hale Navy blue as the cornerstone for the cabinetry. This choice set the stage for a harmonious palette that tied in with the living and dining room furniture and rugs. Integrating a natural stone countertop became a focal point, incorporating these varied hues while gold fixtures added a touch of luxury and sophistication. Throughout the design process, challenges were met with innovative solutions. Space optimization was key, requiring strategic placement of appliances like a smaller-width refrigerator alongside a pull-out pantry cabinet. The island, a central feature, not only provided additional seating but replaced the need for a separate table and chairs, optimizing the space for gatherings and enhancing the flow between the kitchen and the adjoining areas. The revitalized kitchen now stands as a vibrant hub for social interaction. The homeowner seamlessly integrates into gatherings, no longer confined by kitchen walls, while guests engage effortlessly in the cooking process at the island. THE PROBLEM Our clients fell in love with the this home and its beautiful, secluded surroundings the first time they saw it. Over time however, the split living space on the main floor proved to be not as functional as they wanted it to be for their family nor did it provide a great connection to the outdoor space that they loved so much. THE SOLUTION The solution, while clear, was not simple. To remove the main load bearing wall shared by these two rooms took a considerable amount of framing and the introduction of new structural components to merge two unique rooflines. The removal of the wall created an eat-in kitchen with a wall of windows and an open concept living area. One of the main features and highlights of this space is a uniquely designed banquette that is a custom built-in extension of the island offering both seating at the island as well as a place for an actual dining table. The new layout also offered ample spacing for cooking, plenty of preparation space as well as a coffee and tea area for the family's assortment of favorite beverages. Custom cabinetry adorns the walls alongside a neutral and class backsplash, new white oak floors, updated entryway and hallway pantry closet.

A small area is remodeled for efficient use of space. This couple enjoys cooking, their grandchildren, and puzzles. All of that was taken into account when we designed the kitchen.

This modern home nestled in the beautiful Los Altos Hills area is being remodeled both inside and out with a minimalist vibe to make the most of the breathtaking valley views. With limited structural changes to maximize the function of the home and showcase the view, the main goal of this project is to completely furnish for a busy active family of five who loves outdoors, entertaining, and fitness. Because the client wishes to extensively use the outdoor spaces, this project is also about recreating key rooms outside on the 3-tier patio so this family can enjoy all this home has to offer.

Custom stain refinished floors, warm stained maple cabinets, beautifully rich multi-colored countertop, warm bronze sink, soft tiled backsplash with accent and layered lights for task and ambient lighting creates a warm and inviting kitchen to host family and friends.

This beautiful, waterfront property features an open living space and abundant light throughout and was staged by BA Staging & Interiors. The staging was carefully curated to reflect sophisticated beach living with white and soothing blue accents. Luxurious textures were included to showcase comfort and elegance.
