An extra thick countertop of the same material covers the island and waterfalls to the floor on one end. The other end of the island features a raised bar supported by bronze hairpin legs. A set of Danish modern bar stools with green vinyl seats conveniently pull up to the counter. The island is punctuated by inset drawers which are clad in a durable laminate. The depth of the stained oak flooring serves to ground the space.

Durasupreme silverton panel door in cherry smoke stain finish, low gloss sheen used for the island, wet bar, and coffee area. Perimeter grey tone painted cabinets in a custom color match per client’s request was specified. Shadow storm granite and cambria whitney quartz were used in combination to set off the cabinet colors. The existing floors were refinished during the project in a neutral tone. The ceiling was detailed in a classic tongue and groove board in a white paint finish as well as the wainscot wall panels and window trim. Expert installation is always a must for projects that entail stack crowned molding as elaborate as this installation. When working in historical homes, or homes of age that have leveling issues, stacked crown molding can hide the fact the ceilings may not be parallel to the floor.

This tropical great room's design was inspired by the villas in Bali. The vaulted ceiling is designed with reed thatch and ebony stained natural beams and rafters. The kitchen has a waterfall edge kitchen island, ebony cabinets, natural basket pendants, and cream colored tiles. The glass sliding and pocketing doors opening to the courtyard gardens are teak. The floors are a cream porcelain tile. The white sofa has modern and timeless comfort, the woven chairs speak to the tropical style throughout the home. The dining table is monkey-pod wood.

“After discussions with Zieba about design ideas and budgets we agreed to hire them to come up with create designs and they came back with three options. Ultimately, we merged some of the ideas from each of the options and came up with our design. With the design completed Zieba submitted a bid that was in line with our budget, and we hired them for the construction which was started in the beginning of September and scheduled for completion 4 months later. The construction was completed on time and on budget & we are thrilled with the changes made to our home. Our experience from start to finish was exceptional including the design work, communication, execution, professionalism and craftsmanship of the construction. This is stunning Dura Supreme Cabinetry home was carefully designed by designer Aaron Mauk and his team at Mauk Cabinets by Design in Tipp City, Ohio and was featured in the Dayton Homearama Touring Edition. You’ll find Dura Supreme Cabinetry throughout the home including the bathrooms, the kitchen, a laundry room, and an entertainment room/wet bar area. Each room was designed to be beautiful and unique, yet coordinate fabulously with each other. The kitchen is in the heart of this stunning new home and has an open concept that flows with the family room. A one-of-a-kind kitchen island was designed with a built-in banquet seating (breakfast nook seating) and breakfast bar to create a space to dine and entertain while also providing a large work surface and kitchen sink space.
