A young family with kids purchased their first home and contacted me with the task to design an upbeat and energetic space for them, which also will have all the functionality they needed. There were some restrains - a load-bearing beam ran across the space leaving very little wall space on the left available. We've chosen European size appliances and creatively resolved the corner to allow the sink placement. and added a ton of color and shine.

This simple yet "jaw-dropping" kitchen design uses 2 contemporary cabinet door styles with a sampling of white painted cabinets to contrast the gray-toned textured foil cabinets for a unique and dramatic look. The thin kitchen island features a cooktop and plenty of storage accessories. Wide planks are used as the decorative ends and back panels as a unique design element, while a floating shelf above the sink offers quick and easy access to your every day glasses and dishware. This fun and quirky kitchen is all thing eclectic. Pink tile and emerald green cabinets make a statement. With accents of pine wood shelving and butcher block countertop. Top it off with white quartz countertop and hexagon tile floor for texture. Of course, the lipstick gold fixtures!

This homeowner lived on a very prominent golf course and wanted to feel like he was on the putting green of the 9th hole while standing at his family room window. The existing layout of the home had the garage enjoying that view with the outdated dining room, family room and kitchen further back on the lot. We completely demoed the garage and a section of the home, allowing us to design and build with that view in mind. The completed project has the family room at the back of the home with a gorgeous view of the golf course from two large curved bay windows. A new fireplace with custom cabinetry and shelf niches and coffered high ceilings makes this room a treasure. The new kitchen boasts of white painted cabinetry, an island with wood top and a 6 burner Wolf cooktop with a custom hood, white tile with multiple trim details and a pot filler faucet. A Butler’s Pantry was added for entertaining complete with beautiful white painted cabinetry with glass upper cabinets, marble countertops and a prep sink and faucet. We converted an unused dining room into a custom, high-end home office with beautiful site- built mahogany bookcases to showcase the homeowners book collections. To complete this renovation, we added a “friends” entry and a mudroom for improved access and functionality. The transformation is not only efficient but aesthetically pleasing to the eye and exceeded the homeowner’s expectations to enjoy their view of the 9th hole.

This was an interesting project to work on, The original builder/ designer was a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. The challenge with this project was to update the kitchen, while honoring the original designer's vision.

Oh, the kitchen remodel, by far my most challenging project at #flipmagnolia and by far the one I am the proudest of. It’s true that small houses do come with small kitchens. However, the size of this kitchen was not really the problem here. As I stood in this old kitchen absolutely in awe, I just knew this was my biggest project yet. I was staring at rusted yellow cabinets, mixed countertops, a whimsical wallpaper border, and a big old washer right next to the stove. What? Click to see the before photos. This apartment kitchen remodel includes new quartzite countertops, Modern ash wood cabinetry, and brass fixtures. A blue ceramic subway tile backsplash adds a sense of place. A wood beam open shelf helps draw the warm color of the douglas fir wood floor up onto the vertical plane of the room.
