This is a Decora Kitchen in a roasted red pepper. Solid maple 3/4″ doors, with a 3-piece crown molding. Notice the use of custom depth and modifications. The 2-end cabinets with the clipped corners started as a 12″ deep standard wall cabinet. We reduced depth & added a toe kick and clipped the corners. Decora is a great cabinet that will allow you to do almost any modification you will need, will also color match. And have a new line of inset doors.

With this homeowner being a geologist, they were looking for a very earthy, stone-based feel. The stone for the countertop was selected first, and then a bright color was found to match the rusted stone esthetic. The window was also opened to give life to the owner’s beautiful view and grey upper-cabinets were used to tie the appliances into the rest of the design. A lowered counter area with a marble top, which is ideal for rolling and kneading dough, was located at the end of the kitchen layout, near the oven and bakeware storage. Designer Jodi Tramontin, CMKBD decided to create a "Contemporary Craftsman" inspired kitchen which would flow with the rest of the home's architecture, design and materials. In order to create the perfect Contemporary Craftsman-inspired kitchen, she selected Dura Supreme's popular Lynden door style. The clean, simple lines on the doors rails and stiles along with the beautiful bevel detailing are the perfect complement to the Contemporary Craftsman-inspired kitchen that she wanted to create. After the door style was decided on, it was time to create the color palette. When creating a color palette for a particular space, start by determining what items that will be staying in the room that you’ll need to coordinate with. For example, for Jodi’s new kitchen she needed to work with the existing paint, millwork (casings, trim, interior doors), and hardwood floor colors. “One of the most common questions I get as a designer is "Do my cabinets have to match the rest of the woodwork within the home?" My answer to that question is "No - absolutely not". I love mixing different wood tones within any given space to create a unique and comfortable look.” – Jodi Tramontin, CMKBD After looking at many different options for the cabinet finishes, Jodi decided on Dura Supreme's “Hazelnut stain” on Cherry for the perimeter cabinetry and Dura Supreme’s “Latte” paint on Maple/Paintable for the island. Both of these finishes coordinate beautifully with the existing paint, millwork, and hardwood. Jodi also opted to go with a Low Sheen level on the stained finishes. Dura Supreme's standard sheen level on our stains is a semi-gloss finish while the low sheen is considered a satin finish. The low sheen option is just as strong and durable as our standard sheen. Reforma integral de una vivienda en los Pirineos Catalanes. En este proyecto hemos trabajado teniendo muy en cuenta el espacio exterior dentro de la vivienda. Hemos jugado con los materiales y las texturas, intentando resaltar la piedra en el interior. Con el color rojo y el mobiliario hemos dado un carácter muy especial al espacio. Todo el proyecto se ha realizado en colaboración con Carlos Gerhard Pi-Sunyer, arquitecto del proyecto.

We gave this small, dark kitchen a creative, bold, and bright new design! With a need for more functionality, light, and style we installed fresh new marble counters and a large kitchen island. Additional storage was added throughout the space with plenty of pull-out drawers and cabinets. The final touch was painting the kitchen island a deep red, which paired beautifully with the warm hue of the butcher block countertop. We extended the feel of the kitchen by removing a wall that connected to an adjacent bedroom, thus creating a bright and airy space with plenty of natural light and a feeling of openness. The connecting room went through minor changes as well, outfitted with custom drawers to match the kitchen cabinets, tying the spaces together seamlessly with the rest of the home. Designed by Chi Renovation & Design who serve Chicago and it's surrounding suburbs, with an emphasis on the North Side and North Shore. You'll find their work from the Loop through Lincoln Park, Skokie, Wilmette, and all the way up to Lake Forest.

Custom built -in cabinetry designed to match the mid century modern style of the home and upgrade the simple shelving originally installed by the builder. Cookbooks are now right next to the dining room table and bonus covered storage below. The cabinetry is installed with a reveal that creates a shadow line around the whole cabinet, this detail is then is repeated throughout the kitchen, and the house for continuity
