My customers came to me wanting a big change in their small colonial kitchen. They knew they had extra space from a previous addition and dining room. As far as layout they didn't give me any limitations. They asked for more counter space, storage, and something they can comfortably entertain in with their growing family. We knocked down the wall between the old kitchen and dining room and added another doorway to the front room. This allowed me to double the size of the kitchen and add an angled peninsula with seating. The kitchen is now open to the existing addition which serves as great room with a built in desk area. All new windows were put in throughout the house and the patio door was moved to the back wall of great room. This allows for a better flow to the in ground pool where we added new steps and decking. Wynnbrooke Cabinetry kitchen featuring White Oak "Cascade" door and "Sand" stain and "Linen" painted island. MSI "Carrara Breve" quartz, COREtec "Blended Caraway" vinyl plank floors, Quorum black kitchen lighting, and Stainless Steel KitchenAid appliances also featured. New home built in Kewanee, Illinois with cabinetry, counters, appliances, lighting, flooring, and tile by Village Home Stores for Hazelwood Homes of the Quad Cities.

These homeowners were ready to update the home they had built when their girls were young. This was not a full gut remodel. The perimeter cabinetry mostly stayed but got new doors and height added at the top. The island and tall wood stained cabinet to the left of the sink are new and custom built and I hand-drew the design of the new range hood. The beautiful reeded detail came from our idea to add this special element to the new island and cabinetry. Bringing it over to the hood just tied everything together. We were so in love with this stunning Quartzite we chose for the countertops we wanted to feature it further in a custom apron-front sink. We were in love with the look of Zellige tile and it seemed like the perfect space to use it in.

We transformed an outdated, lack luster beach house on Fripp Island into a coastal retreat complete with southern charm and bright personality. The main living space was opened up to allow for a charming kitchen with open shelving, white painted ship lap, a large inviting island and sleek stainless steel appliances. Nautical details are woven throughout adding to the charisma and simplistic beauty of this coastal home. New dark hardwood floors contrast with the soft white walls and cabinetry, while also coordinating with the dark window sashes and mullions. The new open plan allows an abundance of natural light to wash through the interior space with ease. Tropical vegetation form beautiful views and welcome visitors like an old friend to the grand front stairway. The play between dark and light continues on the exterior with crisp contrast balanced by soft hues and warm stains. What was once nothing more than a shelter, is now a retreat worthy of the paradise that envelops it.

This is stunning Dura Supreme Cabinetry home was carefully designed by designer Aaron Mauk and his team at Mauk Cabinets by Design in Tipp City, Ohio and was featured in the Dayton Homearama Touring Edition. Each room was designed to be beautiful and unique, yet coordinate fabulously with each other. A combination of glass and mirrored mullion doors are used throughout the space to create a spacious, airy feel.
