Pinnacle Design & RemodelingLong-time clients called us (Landmark Remodeling and PID) back to tackle their kitchen and subsequently the remainder of the main floor. We had worked away over the last 5 years doing smaller projects, knowing one day they would pull the trigger on their kitchen space.
After two small boys and working from home through the pandemic, they decided it was time to tear down the wall separating the kitchen and formal dining room and make one large kitchen for their busy, growing family.
We proposed a few layout options and when they chose the one with a 14 foot island we were so excited!

Client Brief: To create a classic-modern design using Inframe Shaker cabinetry in a combination of rich, contrasting colours to provide definition to the Island and tall furniture.
Inframe shaker cabinetry finished in Farrow & Ball Purbeck Stone to the main kitchen L and Hague Blue to the Island and pantry and tall furniture. Completed with chrome handles and exposed butt hinges detailing.
Worksurfaces: Silestone Lagoon by Cosentino UK and Ireland
Interior Re-Styling LLC.A stone look quartz was used to stay with a natural look and it complements the wood beams and adjacent wall.

Reynolds Design and RemodelingA powder room and closet were removed to create space for this kitchen. The kitchen shifted to include the space that was added from the rooms that were removed and the former dinette area in the kitchen became the back entry and the new upstairs laundry room. The home had original walnut paneling and matching that paneling was paramount. The kitchen also had a lowered ceiling that needed to blend into the raised ceiling in the family room and dining room. The floating soffit was built to create a design feature out of a design limitation. The cabinets are full of interior features to aid in efficiency. Removing most of the wall cabinets required additional storage which was achieved by adding the two large pantry cabinets where a door to the hall was previously located. The island is raised by 3" to accommodate the clients' request without having to customize all of the base cabinets and create a platform for the range, which are always standard in height.

With the help of our award-winning designer, Tracy West, it is now open, and has the perfect work triangle. By removing the wall that previously separated the kitchen and breakfast nook, the homeowners were able to relocate their refrigerator and add an island. The natural tones and textures in this kitchen make it feel inviting and clean and demonstrate that cherry can still add personality and dimension in a completely updated (and still timeless) way.

Arcata Cabinet & Design CompanyThis farmhouse style kitchen offers plenty of space to move around and bake lots of cookies! An eating bar allows the kids to do homework in the kitchen while mom and dad cook dinner. The two-tone cabinets allow for durability on the bottom for the family dog and lightness on the top to brighten up the space. All the cabinet upgrades are there (roll-outs, large drawers, drawer dividers, trash pull-out, etc.). A lovely upgrade for this McKinleyville home.

Che Bella Interiors Design + RemodelingA new peninsula-style island with seating and moving the range along the previous pantry wall opens up the kitchen area, even with the fridge & sink locations remaining the same. Meanwhile, the removal of all soffits allows for more ceiling height and storage while enhancing the impact of the beautiful adjoining dining room ceiling.
Finally, the combination of stained and painted cabinetry brightens the space significantly without putting the kitchen out of place from the rest of the home featuring stained wood. An al dente of balance between aesthetics and function, perfectly encapsulated in a new space for the family to enjoy for years to come.

Cutting Edge Kitchen and BathComplete Kitchen remodel with an addition of a large island and storage seating in the dinning area. New Schrock cabinets, new appliances, subway tile backsplash and Luxury Vinyl Cortec Flooring replaced old laminate. Caesarstone Countertops and new lighting fixtures round out this amazing functional kitchen.

Tracy Berman InteriorsThis kitchen was your typical builder basic design. Lot's of cabinets with no thought for function. An odd shaped island that took up space, but didn't provide much storage. We straightened out the island to create more storage and loads of function. It now has the sink, dishwasher, trash center, bookcase, mixer cabinet and microwave drawer plus more! We removed the wall double ovens and added a 48" range instead. This allowed us to flank either side of the fridge with roll out pantry cabinets. An appliance garage was added to the corner. The range has a custom hood over it that blends seamlessly with the cabinets. The client needed a space to sit and check the mail so we created an office space at the end of the wall. Behind the blinds is a new 10' slider for access to the patio. Luxury vinyl plank flooring went in throughout the house. Custom pendant lights were hung in clusters of three above the island. The kitchen was painted Accessible Beige by SW.
