This European kitchen has several different areas and functions. Each area has its own specific details but are tied together with distinctive farmhouse feel, created by combining medium wood and white cabinetry, different styles of cabinetry, mixed metals, warm, earth toned tile floors, blue granite countertops and a subtle blue and white backsplash. The hand-hammered copper counter on the peninsula ties in with the hammered copper farmhouse sink. The blue azul granite countertops have a deep layer of texture and beautifully play off the blue and white Italian tile backsplash and accent wall. The high gloss black hood was custom-made and has chrome banding. The French Lacanche stove has soft gold controls. This kitchen also has radiant heat under its earth toned limestone floors. A special feature of this kitchen is the wood burning stove. Part of the original 1904 house, we repainted it and set it on a platform. We made the platform a cohesive part of the space defining wall by using a herringbone pattern trim, fluted porcelain tile and crown moulding with roping. The office area’s built in desk and cabinets provide a convenient work and storage space. Topping the room off is a coffered ceiling. In this classic English Tudor home located in Penn Valley, PA, we renovated the kitchen, mudroom, deck, patio, and the exterior walkways and driveway. The European kitchen features high end finishes and appliances, and heated floors for year-round comfort! The outdoor areas are spacious and inviting. The open trellis over the hot tub provides just the right amount of shelter. These clients are great friends of mine, so I really wanted to help them make their remodel special. They recently purchased an historic Craftsman style home in the Claremont Village that required a complete remodel. The kitchen was an area that I helped out the most. It is set in a part of the house that doesn’t get a lot of natural light, so I wanted to keep it light and airy. I didn’t want to do an all white kitchen, so we opted for two tone cabinets, which I absolutely love! We had them custom made and stained a neutral medium brown. There was an empty space under the stairs that I turned into a “secret” walk-in pantry, which is completely nondescript when the doors are closed. The counters are Praa Sands from Cambria, the Roman Shade was custom made from fabric found at the LA fabric district and the back splash is an arrangement of glass subway tiles.

Este proyecto a pesar de tener muchos rincones que solventar, ha quedado perfectamente homogéneo y bien aprovechado. Hemos conseguido separar estancias (lavadero, cocina y comedor) en un mismo espacio conviviendo juntas. Realizado en el modelo Ak_04 destaca por su diseño con península amplia, que proporciona al usuario una distribución muy cómoda a la hora de trabajar. La encimera de la península se ha seleccionado en granito Cohíba en combinación con Silestone. También y no menos importante, disfruta de una equipación muy completa de electrodomésticos de alta gama (Neff y Miele).

This beautiful two tone kitchen was a collaborative effort between the homeowner and the kitchen designer, the client's ideas and wish list were incorporated and brought to life. We used Merit/Lectus cabinetry, and opened two passthroughs between the kitchen peninsula and the TV area. where we also added more storage. The combination of the gray and medium tone shaker Maple give this kitchen a warm and inviting feeling. The hood area has a stone ledge running along the back side, and the passthrough is cladded with the matching wood tones accentuating the architecture.
