Kitchen was a renovation of a 70's white plastic laminate kitchen. We gutted the room to allow for the taste of our clients to shine with updated materials. The cabinetry is custom from our own cabinetry line. The counter tops and backsplash are handpainted custom designed tiles made in France. The floors are wood beams cut short side and laid to show the grain. We also created a cabinetry nook made of stone to house a display area and server. We used the existing skylights, but to bring it all together we installed reclaimed wood clapboards on the ceiling and reclaimed wood timbers to create some sense of architecture. The kitchen layout was reconfigured once the sunroom opening was widened. The range was given a place of special significance, and the sink in the island creates a compact work circle.

LA DEMANDE Pour leur projet de maison en construction, mes client ont souhaité se faire accompagner sur l'aménagement intérieur concernant le choix des couleurs et matériaux, en passant par les papiers peints. LA SALLE DE BAIN PARENTALE : Colorée et haut-de-gamme, un carrelage en marbre de Grespania Ceramica donne du cachet et l'élégance à la pièce. Le meuble vasque couleur terre cuite apporte la touche colorée. LA SALLE DE BAIN DES ENFANTS : Ludique et colorée, la salle de bain des enfants se la joue graphique et texturée. Un carrelage géométrique permet de donner du dynamisme et la touche colorée. UNE ENTRÉE FONCTIONNELLE : Qui n'a jamais rêvé d'avoir de grands rangements pour une entrée fonctionnelle ? C'est chose faite avec ces grands placards sur-mesure en chêne qui viendront rappeler les menuiseries. Un papier peint panoramique géométrique Pablo Emeraude/gris signé Casamance est installé dans la cage d'escalier et vient faire le lien avec la couleur Light Blue No.22 Farrow&Ball.

"A Kitchen for Architects" by Jamee Parish Architects, LLC. This project is within an old 1928 home. The kitchen was expanded and a small addition was added to provide a mudroom and powder room. It was important the the existing character in this home be complimented and mimicked in the new spaces.

This Craftsman style house went from 1950s split-level to contemporary design featuring a large family room with oak truss ceiling, outdoor decks and a walk-out basement. We used most of the existing foundation and first-floor perimeter walls and embraced the narrow, deep lot. This was a Design Build speculative house that started a trend of upgrading the entire street.

Recalling the Old World flavor of the Italian Countryside, this traditional kitchen features ivory plaster walls and reclaimed wood beams in a rich honey stain. The distressed and glazed finish of the center island coordinates with the walls, while its extra-thick wood top matches the stain of the perimeter cabinets. Topping the perimeter cabinetry is doubly thick quartzite with an ogee edge. The mosaic tile backsplash in shades of ivory, cream, and gold adds just the right amount of shimmer. Hanging above the island are a pair of gold and glass mini chandeliers which pull in the gold of the sconces that flank the limestone hood by Francois & Co. Bronze cabinet hardware adds a bit of jewelry to this hard-working space. A glimpse of beautiful blue linen draperies in the living room can be seen through the doorway.

In this 1929 home, we opened the small kitchen doorway into a large curved archway, bringing the dining room and kitchen together. Hand-made Motawi Arts and Crafts backsplash tiles, oak hardwood floors, and quarter-sawn oak cabinets matching the existing millwork create an authentic period look for the kitchen. A new Marvin window and enhanced cellulose insulation make the space more comfortable and energy efficient. In the all new second floor bathroom, the period was maintained with hexagonal floor tile, subway tile wainscot, a clawfoot tub and period-style fixtures. The window is Marvin Ultrex which is impervious to bathroom humidity.

this quaint bungalow kitchen is extended by the screened porch offering an alternative dining experience nine months of the year.
