This is our fourth project for this client who purchased a four-bedroom unit in this grand old turn of the century Landmark that had been neglected through the years. Our goal was to restore its former grandeur while providing for our client’s lifestyle. Designed in the classic Victorian style, we removed layers of paint uncovering mahogany doors, oak wainscoting and tile fireplaces. We restored and created new profiles to bring back the richness of detail and bathed the rooms in golden tones to balance the cool north exposure. The panelization is finished with wallpaper to add scale, including a French woodblock wallpaper in the Dining Room to quiet down the rich oak trim. The outcome is airy, elegant and functional.

Embracing the natural elements of this circa 1960’s Condo development in Stowe Vermont was a priority for our clients. We worked closely with a great design team and our clients to create this simple, but beautiful minimalist retreat. Our clients, both authors, wanted a place to withdraw from the endless distractions and fast pace rhythms of the city. Custom made cabinets, bookshelves and built ins helped off set the sandblasted CMU block walls and ground concrete floors. A beautiful handcrafted stairwell was a center piece connecting the three floors. A handcrafted integrated concrete sink in the master is was another testament to the mixed mediums used to create this space. We embraced exposed conduit and commercial grade light fixtures throughout which helped add to the overall minimalist feel of the space. There is a beautiful rawness to this project which everyone came to admire.

This transitional kitchen design in Yorba Linda has a timeless quality that proves great design never goes out of style. The warm, light wood finish Woodmode and Brookhaven custom maple cabinetry with stainless steel appliances and sleek accessories creates the ideal combination of traditional and modern features. The L-shaped kitchen includes raised panel perimeter and island cabinetry, packed with plenty of storage, including a customized cat and dog bowl station that tucks away when not in use. A Cheng concrete countertop and custom backsplash design add color and texture, along with the Le Gourmet custom plaster hood and a black Franke farmhouse sink with a Grohe faucet. This kitchen project started when the homeowners came into Bilotta’s Mount Kisco showroom on a snowy day with nothing but a Bentwood chair made out of driftwood. They said all they wanted was for their kitchen to match it. So they got started with Bilotta’s Danielle Florie to put it all together. The couple lives in a large, sophisticated stone and wood home in the middle of the woods in Pound Ridge, dramatically situated on a hilltop overlooking a private pond. More modern than their neighbors’ homes, their house features walls of windows, steel beams and ceilings, with a large curved glass, two-story atrium entry. To complement the house, they wanted their kitchen to be rustic but still elegant and as open as the rest of the house. Danielle helped them select a frameless, shaker-style cabinet in rift cut white oak with a “Driftwood” stain and a charcoal glaze. They went with an L-shape design so as not to hinder the view to the spacious outdoors. The backsplash resembles driftwood but is actually a porcelain tile. And to remain clean and modern they went with a Caesarstone countertop with a square edge similar in color to the rest of the space. They opted for the more contemporary stainless steel appliances and apron front sink.
