We turned this Woodland Hill home's kitchen into a modern marvel. It has a brand new floor, green shaker cabinets, floating range hood, island stovetop, white solid surface countertop, and more!

Using the home’s Victorian architecture and existing mill-work as inspiration we restored an antique home to its vintage roots. The many-times remodeled kitchen was desperately in need of a unifying theme so we used Pavilion Raised cabinetry in a cottage finish to bring back a bygone era. The homeowner purchased Elmira Stove Works antique style appliances, reclaimed wood for the bar counter, and rustic (grayed brick) flooring. Victorian period appropriate inset cabinetry is hand distressed for a ‘lived-in’ look. The owners are avid antique collectors of unique Americana freestanding pieces and accessories which add a wealth of playful accents, while at the same time, are useful items for the cook. Together these details create a kitchen that fits comfortably in this classic home. The island features a Special Cottage Russian Olive finish with bead board paneling, turned posts, curved valances, a farmhouse style sink, paneled dishwasher and, finally, a unique combination cabinet with double trash facing the front and a shallow cabinet with wire mesh door facing out the side. The inset doorstyle called for combination cabinets blending such items as a base corner turn-out cabinet with drawers and then a base pull-out pantry. We included wicker baskets, fine-line drawer inserts, a dish rack and wall storage with faux cubby drawers (the drawers are full width with multiple drawerheads). Note also the eyebrow pediment, pull-out pantry and the hide-away doors on the ‘appliance wall’.

Handpainted in Farrow & Ball 'Studio Green', the Burlanes Hoyden cabinetry is handmade to fit the dimensions of the room exactly, complemented perfectly with Silestone worktops in 'Iconic White'.

Ultramodern British Kitchen in Ferring, West Sussex Sea Green handleless furniture from our British supplier and wonderful Corian surfaces combine in this coastal kitchen. The Brief This Ferring project required a kitchen rethink in terms of theme and layout. In a relatively compact space, the challenge for designer Aron was to incorporate all usual amenities whilst keeping a spacious and light feel in the room. Corian work surfaces were a key desirable for this project, with the client also favouring a nod to the coastal setting of the property within the kitchen theme. Design Elements The layout of the final design makes the most of an L-shape run to maximise space, with appliances built-in and integrated to allow the theme of the kitchen to take centre-stage. The theme itself delivers on the coastal design element required with the use of Sea Green furniture. During the design phase a handleless kitchen became the preferred choice for this client, with the design utilising the Segreto option from British supplier Mereway – also chosen because of the vast colour options. Aron has used furniture around an American fridge freezer, whilst incorporating a nice drinks area, complete with wine bottle storage and glazed black feature door fronts. Lighting improvements have also been made as part of the project in the form of undercabinet lighting, downlights in the ceiling and integrated lighting in the feature cupboard. Special Inclusions As a keen cook, appliance choices were an important part of this project for the client. For this reason, high-performance Neff appliances have been utilised with features like Pyrolytic cleaning included in both the Slide & Hide single oven and compact oven. An intuitive Neff induction hob also features in this project. Again, to maintain the theme appliances have been integrated where possible. A dishwasher and telescopic extractor hood are fitted behind Sea Green doors for this reason. Project Highlight Corian work surfaces were a key requirement for this project, with the client enjoying them in their previous kitchen. A subtle light ash option has been chosen for this project, which has also been expertly fabricated in to a seamless 1.5 bowl sink area complete with drainer grooves. The End Result The end result is a wonderful kitchen design that delivers on all the key requirements of the project. Corian surfaces, high-performance appliances and a Sea Green theme tick all the boxes of this project brief. This custom waterfront home is situated on one of our favorite Gulf Islands. It features classic painted Prairie School cabinets by Merit Kitchens, mission style hardware, and various countertop surfaces including soapstone & live edge fir in the kitchen, maple butcher block in the pantry, stainless steel in the laundry, and quartz in the ensuite.

Having worked on the bathroom in 2016 we were recently asked to look at the kitchen and to advice as to how we could extend into the garden without completely invading the space. We wanted to be able to "sit in the kitchen and still be sitting in the garden".

We were engaged to modernise our client's home including bathroom, new flooring and kitchen refresh . He wanted a contemporary, minimalistic design. This was achieved by using stunning stone look large format tiles with concave finger tile feature walls, custom timber to add warmth in the bathroom. The walls were painted in Dulux Dieskau to add a new vibrance which complemented the new floors and carpet. continuity was kept within the home by also featuring the concave finger tile in the kitchen.

This Old world charm kitchen perfectly balances traditional, antiques and mid-century style. Raw natural finishes and texture shine's in this well though-out design style. With the avid entertainer and home chef in mind this kitchen is packed with functionality in mind with space for all.
