This elegant, classic painted kitchen was designed and made by Tim Wood to act as the hub of this busy family house in Kensington, London. The kitchen has many elements adding to its traditional charm, such as Shaker-style peg rails, an integrated larder unit, wall inset spice racks and a limestone floor. A richly toned iroko worktop adds warmth to the scheme, whilst honed Nero Impala granite upstands feature decorative edging and cabinet doors take on a classic style painted in Farrow & Ball's pale powder green. A decorative plasterer was even hired to install cornicing above the wall units to give the cabinetry an original feel. But despite its homely qualities, the kitchen is packed with top-spec appliances behind the cabinetry doors. There are two large fridge freezers featuring icemakers and motorised shelves that move up and down for improved access, in addition to a wine fridge with individually controlled zones for red and white wines. These are teamed with two super-quiet dishwashers that boast 30-minute quick washes, a 1000W microwave with grill, and a steam oven with various moisture settings. The steam oven provides a restaurant quality of food, as you can adjust moisture and temperature levels to achieve magnificent flavours whilst retaining most of the nutrients, including minerals and vitamins. The La Cornue oven, which is hand-made in Paris, is in brushed nickel, stainless steel and shiny black. It is one of the most amazing ovens you can buy and is used by many top Michelin rated chefs. It has domed cavity ovens for better baking results and makes a really impressive focal point too. Completing the line-up of modern technologies are a bespoke remote controlled extractor designed by Tim Wood with an external motor to minimise noise, a boiling and chilled water dispensing tap and industrial grade waste disposers on both sinks. This galley kitchen is a perfect mix of colors, metals, and materials. The walls are tiled in a white subway tile, while the floor is covered in a dark brown rug. The base cabinets are painted a dark forest green color to contrast the upper wall cabinets that are painted white to match the floor-to-ceiling wall tiles. Mixing metals is a great way to add interest and depth - gold pulls on the cabinet doors and stainless steel on the appliances. The ship-lapped ceiling is another great way to add visual and textural interest.

A winning combination in this gorgeous kitchen...mixing rich, warm woods, dark countertops and painted cabinets, capped with a custom copper hood. The textured tile splash is the perfect backdrop.

This very British inspired racing car green custom kitchen. The London Underground and Sherlock Holmes inspired this design with rich deep colors and textures. The kitchen is inspired by the British racing car green accented with brass in the hardware, plumbing and lighting by Timothy Oulton. All cabinet interiors and shelving are finished in a warm walnut and the kitchen is accented in deep onyx Richlite. All finishes have been flown in from the UK and authentic Victorian touches adorn this space. From deeply textured wallpaper, custom lighting, wall tile used in the London Underground train stations. Every detail will complete this British design to match the client's British car collection that resides on the 1st floor garage space.

This house in Grey Lynn was design by Rogan Nash Architects. From a distance the house sits like a blackbird atop a hill, watching and waiting (a nod to the legend of Maui and Tieke): with its black vertical sheet metal corrugate cladding and matching black aluminium joinery. The profile of the house is an elegant gable which peers through the surrounding urban landscape. This was an important trick to the design: how to shimmy itself into a small site in a much beloved Auckland suburb of Grey Lynn. It seems settled into its busy neighbourhood. It is different and in happy contrast to the other buildings which are all dancing together “Under a Surrey Crescent Moon”.

Every remodel comes with its new challenges and solutions. Our client built this home over 40 years ago and every inch of the home has some sentimental value. They had outgrown the original kitchen. It was too small, lacked counter space and storage, and desperately needed an updated look. The homeowners wanted to open up and enlarge the kitchen and let the light in to create a brighter and bigger space. Consider it done! We put in an expansive 14 ft. multifunctional island with a dining nook. We added on a large, walk-in pantry space that flows seamlessly from the kitchen. All appliances are new, built-in, and some cladded to match the custom glazed cabinetry. We even installed an automated attic door in the new Utility Room that operates with a remote. New windows were installed in the addition to let the natural light in and provide views to their gorgeous property.

We partnered with Pulte Homes and helped them prepare their Model Homes in several communities they were developing. In this model, our team repainted the entire interior of this model.
