Diana Wiesner of Lampert Lumber in Chetek, WI worked with her client and Dura Supreme to create this custom teal blue paint color for their new kitchen. They wanted a contemporary cottage styled kitchen with blue cabinets to contrast their love of blue, red, and yellow. The homeowners can now come home to a stunning teal (aqua) blue kitchen that grabs center stage in this contemporary home with cottage details. Bria Cabinetry by Dura Supreme with an affordable Personal Paint Match finish to "Calypso" SW 6950 in the Craftsman Beaded Panel door style. This kitchen was featured in HGTV Magazine summer of 2014 in the Kitchen Chronicles. Here's a quote from the designer's interview that was featured in the issue. "Every time you enter this kitchen, it's like walking into a Caribbean vacation. It's upbeat and tropical, and it can be paired with equally vivid reds and greens. I was worried the homeowners might get blue fatigue, and it's definitely a gutsy choice for a rural Wisconsin home. So we modernized with functional new materials: quartz counters, porcelain tile floors. But by using bold, bright colors and mixing a few fun patterns, we kept it fun. Retro-style chairs, table, and lighting completed the look.

Rénovation d'un maison 1930 | 120m2 | Lille (projet livré partiellement / fin des travaux prévu pour Octobre 2021) C'est une atmosphère à la fois douce et élégante qui résulte de la réhabilitation de cette maison familiale. Au RDC, l'amputation d'un couloir de 12 mètres et le déplacement des toilettes qui empiétaient sur le séjour ont suffi pour agrandir nettement l'espace de vie et à tirer parti de certaines surfaces jusqu'alors inexploitées. La cuisine, qui était excentrée dans une étroite annexe au fond de la maison, a regagné son statut de point névralgique dans l'axe de la salle à manger et du salon. Aux étages supérieurs, le 1er niveau n'a nécessité que d'un simple rafraîchissement tandis que le dernier niveau a été compartimenté pour accueillir une chambre parentale avec dressing, salle de bain et espace de couchage. Pour préserver le charme des lieux, tous les attributs caractéristiques de ce type de maison - cheminées, moulures, parquet… - ont été conservés et valorisés. une dominante de bleu associée à de subtils roses imprègne les différents espaces qui se veulent à la fois harmonieux et reposants. Des touches de cuivre, de laiton et de marbre, présent dans les accessoires, agrémentent la palette de texture. Les carrelages à l'ancienne et les motifs floraux disséminés dans la maison à travers la tapisserie ou les textiles insufflent une note poétique dans un esprit rétro.

This marvelous kitchen was a true challenge for space planning. The house was built in 1927. The original kitchen held the laundry, stove, a small icebox and an even smaller pantry. I created a comfortable peninsula for mingling while food is prepared. The William and Morris wallpaper on the ceiling was added to tie into the original wallpaper which is in the Butler's pantry next to the kitchen. Hand made tiles are used on the backsplash. A Spanish accent tile is used on the front of the peninsula. The Deckton countertop is more contemporary, being a lot thinner, and absolutely indestructible. The edge profile was intentionally thought out. I wanted it to look like the profile of a carved lion on an antique furniture piece. The beams were added to the ceiling and were also custom-created. I had the builder, Finish Point Cabinetry, channel the wood in the beam so that we could place LED lighting within them.
