This vintage kitchen in a historic home was snug and closed off from other rooms in the home, including the family room. Opening the wall created a pass-through to the family room as well as ample countertop space and bar seating for 4. The new undercount sink in the beautiful granite countertop was enlarged to a single 36" bowl. The original Jen-Aire range had seen better days. Removing it opened up additional counter space as well as offered a smooth cook surface with down draft vent. The custom cabinets were solidly built with lots of custom features that new cabinets would not have offered. To lighten and brighten the room, the cabinets were painted with a Sherwin-Williams enamel. Vintage-style hardware was added to fit the period home. The desk was removed since it diminished counter space and the island cabinets were moved into its place. Doing this also opened up the center of the room, allowing better flow. Backsplash tile from Floor & Decor was added. Walls, backsplash, and cabinets were selected in matching colors to make the space appear larger by keeping the eye moving.

Mes clients désiraient des pièces plus ouvertes et une circulation plus fluide entre la cuisine et leur salle à manger. Nous avons donc réunis les deux pièces, changé l'ensemble des meubles de la cuisine et posé un sol esprit carreaux ciment vintage. L'ensemble des menuiseries extérieures ont été changées et sublimées par des stores sur mesure. Côté cuisine, nous avons opté pour des meubles aux lignes pures et une crédence miroir pour apporter de la profondeur. Pour la salle à manger, nous avons conservé les meubles mis en valeur par une suspension légère et moderne.

réalisation à partir d'existant , nous avons conservé les parties maçonnées déjà présentes . Le chêne utilisé proviens de poutre anciennes coupées . Les plans de travail sont en pierre st Vincent flammée . Table de salle à mangé en vieux cèdre du Ventoux

This was a complete renovation, including removal of a load bearing wall and installation of a laminated wood beam to replace it. The new cabinets run from floor to 9’ ceiling. Cabinets feature integral interior lighting in glass door cabinets, under cabinet lighting and electrical outlets. Tournant le dos à la terrasse malgré la porte-fenêtre qui y menait, l’agencement de la cuisine de ce bel appartement marseillais ne convenait plus aux propriétaires. La porte-fenêtre a été déplacée de façon à se retrouver au centre de la façade. Une fenêtre simple l’a remplacée, ce qui a permis d’installer l’évier devant et de profiter ainsi de la vue sur la terrasse.. Dissimulés derrière un habillage en plaqué chêne, le frigo et les rangements ont été rassemblés sur le mur opposé. C’est le contraste entre le papier peint à motifs et la brillance des zelliges qui apporte couleurs et fantaisie à cette cuisine devenue bien plus fonctionnelle pour une grande famille !. This kitchen was installed by one of LKB's amazing local builders using Showplace Cabinetry. This island has a 1” Slim Shaker Door in oak wood with Hale Navy Blue Paint in matte finish, with the perimeter in 1” Slim Shaker Door in maple wood with white paint in satin finish. The cabinetry hardware is LKB Select Crystal Hardware with Signature Satin Brass trim.
