Nos clients, primo accédants, venaient de louper l'achat d'un loft lorsqu'ils visitaient ce 90 m² sur 3 étages. Le bien a un certain potentiel mais est vieillissant. Nos clients décident de l'acheter et de TOUT raser. ⁠ ⁠ Le loft possédait une sorte de 3e étage à la hauteur petite. Ils enlèvent cet étage hybride pour retrouver une magnifique hauteur sous plafond. ⁠ ⁠ À l'étage, on construit 2 chambres avec de multiples rangements. Une verrière d'atelier, créée par nos équipes et un artisan français, permet de les cloisonner sans pour autant les isoler. Elle permet également à la lumière de circuler tout en rajoutant un certain cachet industriel à l'ensemble. ⁠ ⁠ Nos clients souhaitaient un style scandinave, monochrome avec des tonalités beiges, rose pale, boisées et du noir pour casser le tout et lui donner du caractère. On retrouve parfaitement cette alchimie au RDC. Il y a le salon et son esprit cocooning. Une touche de chaleur supplémentaire est apportée par le claustra en bois qui vient habiller l'escalier. Le noir du mobilier de la salle à manger et de la cuisine vient trancher avec élégance cette palette aux couleurs douces

On April 22, 2013, MainStreet Design Build began a 6-month construction project that ended November 1, 2013 with a beautiful 655 square foot addition off the rear of this client's home. The addition included this gorgeous custom kitchen, a large mudroom with a locker for everyone in the house, a brand new laundry room and 3rd car garage. As part of the renovation, a 2nd floor closet was also converted into a full bathroom, attached to a child’s bedroom; the formal living room and dining room were opened up to one another with custom columns that coordinated with existing columns in the family room and kitchen; and the front entry stairwell received a complete re-design. With a striking, bold design that's both sleek and warm, this modern rustic black kitchen is a beautiful example of the best of both worlds. When our client from Wendover approached us to re-design their kitchen, they wanted something sleek and sophisticated but also comfortable and warm. We knew just what to do — design and build a contemporary yet cosy kitchen. This space is about clean, sleek lines. We've chosen Hacker Systemat cabinetry — sleek and sophisticated — in the colours Black and Oak. A touch of warm wood enhances the black units in the form of oak shelves and backsplash. The wooden accents also perfectly match the exposed ceiling trusses, creating a cohesive space. This modern, inviting space opens up to the garden through glass folding doors, allowing a seamless transition between indoors and out. The area has ample lighting from the garden coming through the glass doors, while the under-cabinet lighting adds to the overall ambience. The island is built with two types of worksurface: Dekton Laurent (a striking dark surface with gold veins) for cooking and Corian Designer White for eating. Lastly, the space is furnished with black Siemens appliances, which fit perfectly into the dark colour palette of the space.

An assemblage of textures and raw materials, the great room spaces are distinguished by two unique ceiling heights: A dark-hued, minimalist layout for the kitchen opens to living room with panoramic views of the canyon to the left and the street on the right. We dropped the kitchen ceiling to be lower than the living room by 24 inches. There is a roof garden of meadow grasses and agave above the kitchen which thermally insulates cooling the kitchen space. Wood siding of the exterior wraps into the house at the south end of the kitchen concealing a pantry and panel-ready column, FIsher&Paykel refrigerator and freezer as well as a coffee bar. Soapstone counter top, backsplash and shelf/window sill, Brizo faucet with Farrow & Ball "Pitch Black" painted cabinets complete the edges. The smooth stucco of the exterior walls and roof overhang wraps inside to the ceiling passing the wide screen windows facing the street. An American black walnut island with seating also separates the kitchen and living room - all sitting on the black, irregular-shaped flagstone floors which circuit throughout the entire first floor. Walnut stair treads and handrail beyond with a solid white oak ceiling for a warm balance to the dark floors. Delta Light fixtures were used throughout for their discreet beauty yet highly functional settings.

INCROYABLE MÉTAMORPHOSE ! Du sol au plafond, cette cuisine est méconnaissable. Aucun détail n’a été laissé au hasard. Le plan en L découpé en un seul morceau assure une continuité du veinage du marbre pour plus d’élégance. Le vitrage étant particulièrement bas, une découpe sur-mesure a été réalisée en usine. Mes clients souhaitaient que les enfants puissent avoir accès au four à micro-ondes. Nous l’avons installé à la bonne hauteur. Le bloc cuisson étant tourné vers le séjour, j’ai proposé une hotte au plafond plus moderne qui vient sublimer l’espace. Cette nouvelle cuisine est à la fois fonctionnelle, chic et si lumineuse. After a devastating flood for our clients we completely changed this kitchen from outdated and soggy to fabulous and ready for whatever life throws at it. Waterfall quartzite brings the island front and center - pre existing exposed beams were darkened to match the new barn door which hides the coffee bar if needed or just looks fabulous open or closed. As is our signature we love to make our perimeter cabinetry different to our islands as is the case with this black and white color palette. Oversized Gold leaf pendants complete the whole ensemble and we could not be more pleased!
