Written by Mary Kate Hogan for Westchester Home Magazine. "The Goal: The family that cooks together has the most fun — especially when their kitchen is equipped with four ovens and tons of workspace. After a first-floor renovation of a home for a couple with four grown children, the new kitchen features high-tech appliances purchased through Royal Green and a custom island with a connected table to seat family, friends, and cooking spectators. An old dining room was eliminated, and the whole area was transformed into one open, L-shaped space with a bar and family room. “They wanted to expand the kitchen and have more of an entertaining room for their family gatherings,” says designer Danielle Florie. She designed the kitchen so that two or three people can work at the same time, with a full sink in the island that’s big enough for cleaning vegetables or washing pots and pans. Key Features: Well-Stocked Bar: The bar area adjacent to the kitchen doubles as a coffee center. Topped with a leathered brown marble, the bar houses the coffee maker as well as a wine refrigerator, beverage fridge, and built-in ice maker. Upholstered swivel chairs encourage people to gather and stay awhile. Finishing Touches: Counters around the kitchen and the island are covered with a Cambria quartz that has the light, airy look the homeowners wanted and resists stains and scratches. A geometric marble tile backsplash is an eye-catching decorative element. Into the Wood: The larger table in the kitchen was handmade for the family and matches the island base. Koch Cabinetry painted in the Taupe paint with Ebony Accent Glaze applied to the Westbrook door. Kitchen island accented in Birch Java finish. These clients retained MMI to assist with a full renovation of the 1st floor following the Harvey Flood. With 4 feet of water in their home, we worked tirelessly to put the home back in working order. While Harvey served our city lemons, we took the opportunity to make lemonade. The kitchen was expanded to accommodate seating at the island and a butler's pantry. A lovely free-standing tub replaced the former Jacuzzi drop-in and the shower was enlarged to take advantage of the expansive master bathroom. Finally, the fireplace was extended to the two-story ceiling to accommodate the TV over the mantel. While we were able to salvage much of the existing slate flooring, the overall color scheme was updated to reflect current trends and a desire for a fresh look and feel. As with our other Harvey projects, our proudest moments were seeing the family move back in to their beautifully renovated home.

Amazing transformation in a small space. We took the walls down around the main vent chase to open the space to the dining and living room, removed soffits, and brought the kitchen up to date with taupe painted cabinets, a knotty alder island, black granite and Cambria Bellingham counters, a custom Edison bulb chandelier, stainless appliances and the stunning farm sink, and clean classic subway tile.

Cuisine rénovée dans son intégralité, avec des hauteurs d'armoires allant jusqu'au plafond, nous avons plus de 2886 mm de hauteur de meubles. Les clients désiraient avoir le plus de rangement possible et ne voulaient pas perdre le moindre espace. Nous avons des façades mates de couleur blanc crème et bois. Les Sans poignées sont de couleur bronze ou doré.

Fully remodeled kitchen. Both islands demolitioned to make room for one large island. Drop ceiling added for lighting, cooktop hood and looks phenomenal. All cabinetry was refinished and refaced. countertops look immaculate. everything came together very nicely.

This client had a small very outdated kitchen. we took out all cabinets. Closed up the block small windows. Framed the refrigerator and created more storage space. We added details on island and fan hood and around the pull-out space cabinet. Note the re/orange line in the cabinets and on the crown modeling.

This design boasts it's own private bar area which features a windsor grey quartz worktop and light grey cabinets, providing a practical use of the alcove by creating a seating area, and influenced by copper lighting and accessories, while the cabinetry hides a preparation area hidden by pocket doors. A tall bank of units boxed in by stud walls to create a unique built in look. The kitchen houses Neff slide and hide eye level ovens, a wine cooler, ceiling extraction and an induction hob.
