This light and bright kitchen has layers of texture and timeless appeal. Beautiful handmade zellige tile runs up to the ceiling to elongate the verticality of the space. The panel ready fridge is paneled in rift cut white oak and finished with a light rubio monocoat finish. Custom arched white oak doors add an elegant entryway into a custom pantry area that is suited for a queen.

Our client is a gourmet cook and she desired a new kitchen in their home that they have lived in for over 30 years. She knew that she wanted minimalist, modern cabinetry, neutral color palettes, and wood accents, her contemporary kitchens has a subtle elegance that will never go out of style. We blended aspects of modern design with other details for a look that's current and sleek, but not sterile. A pop of color show with her accessories we acquired for their home—whether it’s on the furniture, in a bowl of fresh fruit, or in a vase of flowers. These details just add to this clean and modern chef’s kitchen. Hidden treasures are tiered cutlery systems and a pull up mixer so no one has to lift that heavy kitchen aid mix. The overall style ensures that this contemporary kitchen designs still feel warm and welcoming, as do big windows that let in the sun, an architectural light fixture. We completed a luxury apartment in Primrose Hill. This is the second apartment within the same building to be designed by the practice, commissioned by a new client who viewed the initial scheme and immediately briefed the practice to conduct a similar high-end refurbishment. The brief was to fully maximise the potential of the 60-square metre, two-bedroom flat, improving usable space, and optimising natural light. 

We significantly reconfigured the apartment’s spatial lay-out – the relocated kitchen, now open-plan, is seamlessly integrated within the living area, while a window between the kitchen and the entrance hallway creates new visual connections and a more coherent sense of progression from one space to the next. The previously rather constrained single bedroom has been enlarged, with additional windows introducing much needed natural light. The reconfigured space also includes a new bathroom.

The apartment is finely detailed, with bespoke joinery and ingenious storage solutions such as a walk-in wardrobe in the master bedroom and a floating sideboard in the living room. Elsewhere, potential space has been imaginatively deployed – a former wall cabinet now accommodates the guest WC.

The choice of colour palette and materials is deliberately light in tone, further enhancing the apartment’s spatial volumes, while colourful furniture and accessories provide focus and variation. Photographer: Rory Gardiner

Wir waren sehr erfreut, für ein schönes Berliner Apartment einen Küchenraum zu inszenieren, der das Zusammenspiel von modernster Technik und hochwertiger Handwerkskunst vereint. Das Herzstück der MS Küche bildet die Arbeitsplatte aus zeitlos schlichtem Beton. Die Regalbretter aus Eichenfurnier werden optisch durch LED Downlights in Szene gesetzt. Nahtlos integrieren sich Handtuchhalter in die jeweiligen Enden des Küchenkorpus. Auf der gegenüberliegenden Raumseite setzen schwarze Linoleumfronten auf schwarz durchgefärbtem Valchromat und getönten Glasschiebetüren einen farblichen Kontrapunkt. Für die Fliesenspiegel haben wir cremefarbene Mutina-Fliesen gewählt.

Кухня объединена с пространством гостиной. Кухонная мебель эргономично разместили в заранее предусмотренной ниже, композицию кухни сделали нарочито симметричной. Нежный матовый беж фасадов оттенен кантом из натуральной латуни, которой аккомпанируют элегантные ручки. Мебель изготовлена на заказ итальянской компанией Cesar Cucine, вся бытовая техника - Kuppersbusch.

The design of this remodel of a small two-level residence in Noe Valley reflects the owner's passion for Japanese architecture. Having decided to completely gut the interior partitions, we devised a better-arranged floor plan with traditional Japanese features, including a sunken floor pit for dining and a vocabulary of natural wood trim and casework. Vertical grain Douglas Fir takes the place of Hinoki wood traditionally used in Japan. Natural wood flooring, soft green granite and green glass backsplashes in the kitchen further develop the desired Zen aesthetic. A wall to wall window above the sunken bath/shower creates a connection to the outdoors. Privacy is provided through the use of switchable glass, which goes from opaque to clear with a flick of a switch. We used in-floor heating to eliminate the noise associated with forced-air systems.

This Bespoke kitchen has an L-shaped run of cabinets wrapped in Stainless Steel. The cabinets have a mirrored plinth with feet, giving the illusion of free standing furniture. The worktop is Calacatta Medici Marble with a back panel and floating shelf. A Gaggenau gas hob it set into the marble worktop and has a matching Gaggenau oven below it. An under-mount sink with a brushed brass tap also sits in the worktop. A Glazed shaker dresser sits on one wall with a ladder hanging to one side. This home was built in 1947 and the client wanted the style of the kitchen to reflect the same vintage. We installed wood floors to match the existing floors throughout the rest of the home. The tile counter tops reflect the era as well as the painted cabinets with shaker doors.
