Rénover une ancienne longère, c’est le rêve de nombreux français. Nous avons réalisé celui de M. & Mme S en intégrant dans ce grand espace une superbe cuisine blanche & bois. L’électricité et la plomberie ont été modifiées avant l’installation des meubles, au millimètre près, autour des poutres, du pilier et de la chaudière. Les finitions sont impeccables. La lumière naturelle se reflète dans le travertin au sol qui illumine toute la pièce. Chaque espace de rangement semble quasiment invisible grâce aux poignées fines et discrètes intégrées sur les meubles bas. La nouvelle cuisine de M. & Mme S est épurée, lumineuse et fonctionnelle. This marvelous kitchen was a true challenge for space planning. The house was built in 1927. The original kitchen held the laundry, stove, a small icebox and an even smaller pantry. I created a comfortable peninsula for mingling while food is prepared. The William and Morris wallpaper on the ceiling was added to tie into the original wallpaper which is in the Butler's pantry next to the kitchen. Hand made tiles are used on the backsplash. A Spanish accent tile is used on the front of the peninsula. The Deckton countertop is more contemporary, being a lot thinner, and absolutely indestructible. The edge profile was intentionally thought out. I wanted it to look like the profile of a carved lion on an antique furniture piece. The beams were added to the ceiling and were also custom-created. I had the builder, Finish Point Cabinetry, channel the wood in the beam so that we could place LED lighting within them.

L’espace sous la mezzanine du loft a été aménagé en atelier de cuisine grâce à un immense ilôt central qui contient la plaque de cuisson et le four. Une hotte suspendue au plafond permet une bonne ventilation ainsi qu’un supplément d’éclairage. L’escalier hélicoïdal permet l’accès à la mezzanine tout en occupant un espace restreint.

Cucina a doppia altezza con apertura sull'ambiente living. Si può richiudere con grandi porte scorrevoli in cristallo riflettente. L'apertura verso l'alto la rende molto luminosa e permette di appressare il bellissimo tetto in legno sbiancato.

Um Kosten zu sparen, wurden vorgefertigte Unterschränke mit hochwertigen, auf Maß hergestellten, Fronten versehen. Diese bestehen aus Multiplexplatten, welche mit Linolium beklebt wurden. Die Arbeitsplatte besteht aus lackierter Eiche. Durch die extra hergestellten, elegant geschwungenen Holzgriffe wird der Retro-look noch verstärkt. Auch die Hängeschränke wurden aus massiver Eiche hergestellt und runden durch ihre hochwertige Verarbeitung das Gesamtbild der Wohnküche ab.
