This kitchen is playful, interesting and bright with three cabinetry finishes, a white herringbone backsplash, unique light fixtures and a ceiling application made from reclaimed barn wood. This design is different from what you would t typically see in a magazine these days, as requested by the homeowners.

This family’s intention was clear – to create a well-functioning home for their busy family that will continue to be just as well-functioning in the future. With a wish list that included open kitchen and dining spaces, a guest bedroom, and a fresh, modernized master suite, this renovation left the owners delighted. The shifting of the kitchen created a mudroom area resulting in a happy landing space for the family returning from activities. The new mudroom casts a warm glow with an ample black walnut-topped bench. Handsfree entering the kitchen, the large island and coffered ceiling well defines this space. The cook’s Lacanche Saulieu black enamel range is a show-stopper, topped off with a uniquely custom maple hood. A pleasant hideaway, the Benjamin Moore wrought iron painted cabinetry and shelving in the butler’s pantry is both practical and pretty with a quick peek out to the backyard. The upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms were reenergized with new tile, fixtures, and updated a/v. A Newburyport Blue vanity makes for a cheery children’s bath. A more sophisticated black satin vanity in the master bath compliments the basketweave tile rug created in cool and classy Walker Zanger stone tile. Lit from above, the frameless medicine cabinet mirrors’ simplicity let the gunmetal faucets ‘shine’. Down the hall, the family laundry room’s charming tile and easy function gives hope that every family member will chip in with the chores.

The most elegant, cozy, quaint, french country kitchen in the heart of Roland Park. Simple shaker-style white cabinets decorated with a mix of lacquer gold latches, knobs, and ring pulls. Custom french-cafe-inspired hood with an accent of calacattta marble 3x6 subway tile. A center piece of the white Nostalgie Series 36 Inch Freestanding Dual Fuel Range with Natural Gas and 5 Sealed Brass Burners to pull all the gold accents together. Small custom-built island wrapped with bead board and topped with a honed Calacatta Vagli marble with ogee edges. We love how light and open white can make a kitchen feel, but here, I love the contrast of the black countertops, accented perfectly with the marble island top. Warm wood floors add texture, new LED lighting and glass pendants make a welcoming, open-concept kitchen nice and bright. Moving walls allowed up to put in a nice long island for a family of four to eat at, cook, and easily entertain. This kitchen has a mega ‘cool’ factor - the space under the stairs, was a pantry before we remodeled, but now it’s a larger pantry, and it’s built to look just like the rest of the kitchen cabinetry

West Chester kitchen remodel using Fieldstone Cabinetry designed by Rich Love at Chester County Kitchen & Bath. This kitchen was a total redesign combining the original kitchen space with the original dining room creating a new expansive kitchen area. The perimeter cabinetry is in the Harbor door style in Mushroom painted finish with a hand applied latte glaze. The two islands were designed in the same door style in Amaretto; one of Fieldstone’s specialty finishes. A great new wood hood by Stanisci Design was used for over the new Thermador gas pro cooktop. The new fridge was paneled with matching cabinetry so it would blend in to the beautiful surrounding cabinetry. Specialty leaded glass doors with interior lighting makes the wall cabinetry pop. Plenty of storage and countertop space for prepping dinners or for entertaining was the goal and I think we scored. The cabinetry and design along with the clients other awesome material and finish selections turned this kitchen into a beautiful new space that the clients will enjoy for years to come.
