For this rustic interior design project our Principal Designer, Lori Brock, created a calming retreat for her clients by choosing structured and comfortable furnishings the home. The custom touch-open bar by Village Handcrafted Cabinetry is hidden in the kitchen island for easy access, and conveniently located across from the U-line wine captain. The Main Line Philadelphia couple enjoy cooking and entertaining extensively, which informed our design.

The island has 3 base cabinets that are 36" wide each. Two 3-drawer units and one 4-drawer unit. Besides the beauty of the size of the island and the ability for several people to be prepping at the same time, it becomes an organized menagerie of items you need right at your fingertips!

Originally a two-story piano bar, this space was carefully converted by its new owner into an amazing urban loft. The industrial style kitchen design sits at the center of the space, as part of an open plan kitchen/dining/living area. Our designer, Julie Johnson, worked with the owner to create a comfortable living area paired with edgy industrial features, such as the exposed brick, wood beams, and ducting. Personal touches give the room its unique personality, including an original bar refrigerator and guitar collection hanging in the hallway. The revitalized kitchen incorporated a 36" wide gas cooktop, along with a Native Trails copper farmhouse sink. Flat panel Bellmont Cabinetry kitchen cabinets naturally complement the exposed brick, and pair beautifully with the MSI glass mosaic backsplash, MSI perimeter countertop, and Cambria island countertop. Every detail enhances this kitchen design, including the seeded glass cabinet doors, and undercabinet and undercounter lighting.

Log home kitchen remodel after a flood (frozen pipes) left the main floor of the home in ruins. New flooring was custom milled. Custom cabinets and all new appliances were needed. The navy AGA and copper vent make statement in the largest island. The tricky part with this kind of home is the exposed log walls on the inside leave nowhere for electrical and plumbing. This new mountain-contemporary home was designed and built in the private club of Balsam Mountain, just outside of Asheville, NC. The homeowners wanted a contemporary styled residence that felt at home in the NC mountains. Rising above stone base that connects the house to the earth is cedar board and batten siding, Timber corners and entrance porch add a sturdy mountain posture to the overall aesthetic. The top is finished with mono pitched roofs to create dramatic lines and reinforce the contemporary feel.
