This homeowner lived on a very prominent golf course and wanted to feel like he was on the putting green of the 9th hole while standing at his family room window. The existing layout of the home had the garage enjoying that view with the outdated dining room, family room and kitchen further back on the lot. We completely demoed the garage and a section of the home, allowing us to design and build with that view in mind. The completed project has the family room at the back of the home with a gorgeous view of the golf course from two large curved bay windows. A new fireplace with custom cabinetry and shelf niches and coffered high ceilings makes this room a treasure. The new kitchen boasts of white painted cabinetry, an island with wood top and a 6 burner Wolf cooktop with a custom hood, white tile with multiple trim details and a pot filler faucet. A Butler’s Pantry was added for entertaining complete with beautiful white painted cabinetry with glass upper cabinets, marble countertops and a prep sink and faucet. We converted an unused dining room into a custom, high-end home office with beautiful site- built mahogany bookcases to showcase the homeowners book collections. To complete this renovation, we added a “friends” entry and a mudroom for improved access and functionality. The transformation is not only efficient but aesthetically pleasing to the eye and exceeded the homeowner’s expectations to enjoy their view of the 9th hole.

Lustrous walnut flooring literally lays the groundwork for this suburban renovation. Rutt Regency Cabinetry with Flat-panel doors give center stage to the starring features. Perimeter (Rutt Regency) cabinetry is a soft white, while a repetition of rich walnut dresses the island cabinets, the refrigerator framing as well as the stools and adjacent dining table with chairs. That contrast creates a point-counterpoint dialogue with the floors. Though the top trim is deceivingly simple, it’s actually a triple stack of moldings. Countertops are a mix of Caesarstone quartz on the perimeter and marble on the center island. Vertically-stacked subway tiles in assorted whites and off-whites add subtle shading and dimension. Viking’s white finish graces the refrigerator and range, while the dishwasher and wine cooler sport cabinetry panels. Conveniently located opposite the refrigerator, a stainless microwave drawer was placed in the island. A delightful surprise designed by the architect is hidden behind the island: handcrafted panels and a storage cabinet faced in varied-width slats of walnut that speak to the attention to detail in this room. Warm brass was chosen for pulls, faucet, and pendants. The brass strap on the white vent hood is punctuated by a single oversized pyramid-shaped rivet; another small detail that speaks volumes. The client originally wanted to replace the cabinets and change the flooring. But after seeing the detail in our work, they decided to change the countertops, install a peninsula and add subway tiling to the backsplash of the kitchen. The results created an entirely new kitchen based in contemporary design, while till maintaining its original charm

Check out this beautiful open kitchen project. More and more homeowners dream of creating a kitchen that is fluid and simple but still has great functionality for normal family life.
