The design is very contemporary with clean lines and a good use of space. The cabinets are walnut and the quartz was used for both the counter and the splash. I love the microwave drawer and the contemporary stainless farmhouse sink.

This modern farmhouse kitchen features a beautiful combination of Navy Blue painted and gray stained Hickory cabinets that’s sure to be an eye-catcher. The elegant “Morel” stain blends and harmonizes the natural Hickory wood grain while emphasizing the grain with a subtle gray tone that beautifully coordinated with the cool, deep blue paint. The two beautiful blue countertop towers that frame the modern wood hood and cooktop are two intricately designed larder cabinets built to meet the homeowner’s exact needs. The larder cabinet on the left is designed as a beverage center with apothecary drawers designed for housing beverage stir sticks, sugar packets, creamers, and other misc. coffee and home bar supplies. A wine glass rack and shelves provides optimal storage for a full collection of glassware while a power supply in the back helps power coffee & espresso (machines, blenders, grinders and other small appliances that could be used for daily beverage creations. The roll-out shelf makes it easier to fill clean and operate each appliance while also making it easy to put away. Pocket doors tuck out of the way and into the cabinet so you can easily leave open for your household or guests to access, but easily shut the cabinet doors and conceal when you’re ready to tidy up. Beneath the beverage center larder is a drawer designed with 2 layers of multi-tasking storage for utensils and additional beverage supplies storage with space for tea packets, and a full drawer of K-Cup storage. The cabinet below uses powered roll-out shelves to create the perfect breakfast center with power for a toaster and divided storage to organize all the daily fixings and pantry items the household needs for their morning routine. On the right, the second larder is the ultimate hub and center for the homeowner’s baking tasks. A wide roll-out shelf helps store heavy small appliances like a KitchenAid Mixer while making them easy to use, clean, and put away. Shelves and a set of apothecary drawers help house an assortment of baking tools, ingredients, mixing bowls and cookbooks. Beneath the counter a drawer and a set of roll-out shelves in various heights provides more easy access storage for pantry items, misc. baking accessories, rolling pins, mixing bowls, and more. This breathtaking kitchen was designed for entertaining. The large kitchen island is teak and features a Brittanicca Cambria countertop with a flawless waterfall edge. The 48" gas wolf range is practically a work of art framed by a modern stainless steel range hood and by the quartz panels that meld seamlessly with the wood paneling through out the great room. The modern white cabinets are punctuated with the use of built-in custom gold hardware. The vaulted ceilings create an airy and bright space which is complimented by the use of glass pendants above the bar. The gray porcelain tile flooring used through out the home flows outside to the lanai and entry to punctuate the indoor outdoor design.

This couple wanted to retain the character of their existing Craftsman kitchen, while joining their kitchen and dining room by removing a non-load-bearing wall. The bead board ceiling was retained and minimal changes were made to the existing footprint. Lost cabinetry was replaced through careful design and coordination with cabinet maker Gary Frederickson. This gorgeous modern beach house combines a white canvas with pops of color and designer details, showcased in the custom brass hardware on the modern white cabinets and the designer lighting choices such as the natural basket pendant chandelier hanging above the dining table. The stools are white leather with wooden legs for easy clean and comfort. The counter tops are white quartz (Britannica Cambria) which waterfalls down the front of the island. The stainless steel wolf gas range sits beneath a modern stainless steel range hood. The walls are clad in a white painted horizontal paneling which wraps onto the vaulted ceiling. The flooring is gray porcelain tile, and the glass sliding doors are teak.

This countryside farmhouse was remodeled and added on to by removing an interior wall separating the kitchen from the dining/living room, putting an addition at the porch to extend the kitchen by 10', installing an IKEA kitchen cabinets and custom built island using IKEA boxes, custom IKEA fronts, panels, trim, copper and wood trim exhaust wood, wolf appliances, apron front sink, and quartz countertop. The bathroom was redesigned with relocation of the walk-in shower, and installing a pottery barn vanity. the main space of the house was completed with luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout. A beautiful transformation with gorgeous views of the Willamette Valley.

We do many kitchen renovations in Toronto with this same layout, and are called in to open things up and improve the back addition. Our challenge on this project was to stay on budget and make the ceiling in the back room higher, as well as add much needed insulation to make the room warmer and comfortable, while renovating the kitchen. As you can see from the photos, this house is old and we made a number of structural improvements including fixing a old water leak that caused damage above the room. This kitchen really stands out with the Cafe Appliances from GE. The white with copper is really cool! We also like the combination of the flat gloss uppers and the grey lowers. This is now very popular. And of course the wallpaper, we think it gives some much needed personality and colour to the space.

This Mission Hills kitchen was completely gutted and the back wall of the house was pushed out to expand the dining area. There had been a back pantry and butler's area, however this particular layout did not suit the clients needs and they preferred to have this space accessible from the main kitchen. We added in the coffer ceiling details, built in a smaller walk in pantry and built out walls to make architectural elements in the kitchen such as around the range and the refrigeration wall. The chopping block at the end of the main island is created with Walnut and is frequently used as a cutting board. The tall glass cabinet acts as a dish pantry and all of the clients dishware is immediately visible and in one location. Matt Kocourek
