A fantastic Persian rug from Blue Parakeet Rugs brings the whole color scheme together. Vintage touches include the Wedgewood stove, the pendant light over the sink, the red bakelite clock, the vintage footstool ( a Rose Bowl find) and my collection of early California Pottery.

Our Austin studio decided to go bold with this project by ensuring that each space had a unique identity in the Mid-Century Modern style bathroom, butler's pantry, and mudroom. We covered the bathroom walls and flooring with stylish beige and yellow tile that was cleverly installed to look like two different patterns. The mint cabinet and pink vanity reflect the mid-century color palette. The stylish knobs and fittings add an extra splash of fun to the bathroom. The butler's pantry is located right behind the kitchen and serves multiple functions like storage, a study area, and a bar. We went with a moody blue color for the cabinets and included a raw wood open shelf to give depth and warmth to the space. We went with some gorgeous artistic tiles that create a bold, intriguing look in the space. In the mudroom, we used siding materials to create a shiplap effect to create warmth and texture – a homage to the classic Mid-Century Modern design. We used the same blue from the butler's pantry to create a cohesive effect. Farmhouse meets coastal in this timeless kitchen with white oak cabinets, brass hardware, two dishwashers + double faucets, multiple pull out trash cans, custom white oak range hood, paneled wolf appliances, and tons of storage.

In this remodel, outdated cabinets were exchanged for modern shaker-style cabinets in a combination of finishes from Grabill Cabinets including Rift Cut White Oak Seaspray, Superwhite and a green custom paint match. EVNI matte porcelain countertops and full slab backsplash with lots of movement invite a natural texture into the space. Pops of gold and the green hidden bar cabinets bring unexpected sparkle and color into the space. The range hood with custom gold metal trim is a design-forward focal point in the space. The lovely homeowners wanted to brighten up their original kitchen, that had brown stained wood cabinetry and brown granite countertops. While the tile backsplash was attractive, it was dated and they wanted a fresher, more open feel. The island had a bar height elevation which was cut down to counter height. We installed porcelain slabs for the backsplash that were carried throughout the kitchen. The cabinetry was extended to the ceiling, painted, and new countertops were installed. Tuxedo black trim was wrapped around the island to create a crisp, tailored, modern look.
