This amazing traditional kitchen design in Yardley, PA incorporates medium wood finish raised panel cabinetry by Koch and Company with island cabinets painted charcoal blue The striking blue island is beautifully accented by a Grothouse butcherblock countertop, with a Silestone Copper Mist countertop around the perimeter. A Blanco Siligranit black farmhouse sink pairs perfectly with the Riobel faucet and soap dispenser. The Gazzini gold cashmere tile backsplash complements the kitchen cabinets and includes a niche behind the range, below a custom matching hood. The adjacent beverage bar includes a round Nantucket brushed satin sink and upper glass front display cabinets. Contemporary Palo Alto kitchen remodel collaboration between KDS and Design Loft featuring flat paneled, Ovation cabinetry in quartersawn Australian walnut and white gloss foil.

When envisioning their kitchen remodel, it was important to these homeowners that their existing cherry kitchen would be given a facelift in transitional style. Cathy and Ed of Renovisions achieved the owners’ wishes while making sure the kitchen still looked like a natural extension to the rest of their traditional styled home. The update made room for added storage and appliance space. We installed 48” wide cabinetry in a natural cherry finish with roll-out shelves and space to accommodate a microwave and pull-out double trash receptacle. These custom built cherry cabinets and crown molding matched existing cabinets and were within easy reach of the newly installed stainless steel Viking gas range, Zephyr hood and GE hybrid dishwasher. A large rectangular stainless steel sink was under-mounted on a beautiful new gold granite countertop. An absolute black granite countertop was installed on the new wine/beverage center featuring a U-Line dual-zone wine refrigerator, deep drawers for linens and stem ware holder in natural cherry finish. A standout feature is the beautifully tiled backsplash cut in with absolute black granite tile and an artful mix of granite/porcelain tile design over the new gas range. This draws attention to the newly remodeled space and brings together all the elements. The homeowners were tired of the original builders brick surrounding their fireplace hearth and wanted to update to a more formal, elegant look. They chose a solid polished granite material in absolute black. Outdated no longer, the design details in the kitchen and adjacent family room come together to create a formal yet warm and inviting ambiance with their wish fulfilled. The owners love their newly remodeled spaces.

This inviting gourmet kitchen designed by Curtis Lumber Co., Inc. is perfect for the entertaining lifestyle of the homeowners who wanted a modern farmhouse kitchen in a new construction build. The look was achieved by mixing in a warmer white finish on the upper cabinets with warmer wood tones for the base cabinets and island. The cabinetry is Merillat Masterpiece, Ganon Full overlay Evercore in Warm White Suede sheen on the upper cabinets and Ganon Full overlay Cherry Barley Suede sheen on the base cabinets and floating shelves. The leg of the island has a beautiful taper to it providing a beautiful architectural detail. Shiplap on the window wall and on the back of the island adds a little extra texture to the space. A microwave drawer in a base cabinet, placed near the refrigerator, creates a separate cooking zone. Tucked in on the outskirts of the kitchen is a beverage refrigerator providing easy access away from cooking areas Ascendra Pulls from Tob Knobs in flat black adorn the cabinetry. This transformation took an estate-condition 2 bedroom 2 bathroom corner unit located in the heart of NYC's West Village to a whole other level. Exquisitely designed and beautifully executed; details abound which delight the senses at every turn.

This space was an addition off of an existing small living space, which was designed by an architect who created a beautifully dramatic, two-story, living space by angling walls and making the living room area 2 stories high, with an overlook at the top of the spiral staircase to the second floor. The appliances were already set in place, and the homeowners did not want to move the existing plumbing, electrical, or venting, so I had to work within those parameters. They wanted a contemporary, industrial, feel for the kitchen, which I believe is described as Midcentry Modern, was acheived by using slab-style doors and drawers, mixing painted with walnut veneered finishes, along with other custom and unique items. The soapstone was a must-have for the homeowners, providing a source for the painted cabinetry color, which draws out the beautiful veins in the countertop. They needed pantry space, and as much usable storage as possible for the space, which included the angled wall that the refrigerator was on, along with not crowding the walk space between that wall and the necessary column adjacent to it. By building in the refrigerator with panels on either side to conceal the refrigerator "box", I was able to create a storage section which included a 2-drawer base for storage of larger items, with 2 pantries flanking either end, with contrasting walnut floating shelves in between. along with that custom section, in order to provide additional storage, and counter space, I created a free-standing piece, which had to feel like a part of the kitchen, yet also feel like a furniture piece, when viewed from the living room. In order to achieve that look, I used 3" wide columns to frame the piece, which I also repeated as floating shelves in the middle, to house their crockpot, but most importantly, a "home" for their roomba. The island also provided the space for separate pull-out trash and recycling bins, which I did not have space for elsewhere. Collaborating with the homeowners on this project enabled me to design a kitchen that was in a style that I hadn't had the opportunity to design in before, and I now appreciate and love this style myself!
