This is a 1800's home located in the Downtown Historic District. The client desired to transform the existing 4 rooms, built of original plaster walls, into an open floor plan style kitchen, family room/den and powder room. The new space needed to be highly functional to accommodate this young family. Having a pool in the backyard, kids, dogs and a lot of future entertaining planned, porcelain tile plank flooring was used to cover the decaying original hardwood floors. Peg and Randy had a wonderful experience working with APlus and were impressed with the incredible workmanship that went into the remodel. They started their journey looking at their options with stock cabinets and came to realize it wasn’t the best choice for them. A friend that was very happy with the remodel being completed at her home by APlus recommended they call to set up an appointment to meet with a designer. They met with Alex and loved his design ideas so they decided to hire APlus to remodel their kitchen. Peg and Randy were very pleased with the cost and were very surprised to find that a custom kitchen was well within their budget. When guest ask them how they came up with the design concept of the kitchen they praise Alex for coming up with such a gorgeous design. Many changes were made in the kitchen such as adding wonderful high end appliances and hiding the microwave from view. Prior to remodeling their kitchen they had such limited storage space in the kitchen that they resorted to using their garage to store items. This Lake Forest couple now has an amazing amount of hidden storage space with plenty of new space to spare. Exposed wood beams are celebrated in this modern farmhouse styled kitchen. Black brown shaker cabinets are topped with a light colored granite. Pendant light washes the large island with plenty of task light.

StarMark Lyptus cabinetry with Java stain and maple with daquiri finish and chocolate glaze, Cambria quartz in Canterbury with waterfall edge and Wellington with ogee flat edge, KitchenAid appliances, Brizo faucet, mosaic backsplash with copper glitter grout and bronze accent tiles, wood plank tile flooring, and crystal pendant lighting.

A mix of white painted and stained walnut cabinetry, with brass accents in the hardware and lighting - make this kitchen the showstopper in the house. Cezanne quartzite brings in color and movement to the countertops, and the brass mosaic backsplash adds texture and great visual interest to the walls.

New kitchen re-fresh with all new cabinets, quartz countertops and a lovely detailed backsplash. Brass accents were incorporated to add some bling into this space and a new larger window was incorporated to bring more natural light.
