When this young couple bought their dream home, their dream kitchen seemed completely out of reach. With only minor updates to the floor plan but major updates to the finishes, the kitchen was transformed into a sleek and modern space that the whole family could enjoy. High contrast finishes feel crisp and fresh, uncluttered and composed, creating calmness and ease for an otherwise busy family.

Island blues! We love the navy blue island and family room cabinetry in the newly remodeled kitchen and family room. The wall separating the kitchen and family room was removed creating space for a large oversized island with seating for six The shaker cabinets around the perimeter of the kitchen are painted taupe. Brass cabinet hardware and lighting are mixed expertly with stainless steel appliances. White engineered quartz countertops look beautiful and most importantly, they are extremely durable. Designed in conjunction with Vinyet Architecture for homeowners who love the outdoors, this custom home flows smoothly from inside to outside with large doors that extends the living area out to a covered porch, hugging an oak tree. It also has a front porch and a covered path leading from the garage to the mud room and side entry. The two car garage features unique designs made to look more like a historic carriage home. The garage is directly linked to the master bedroom and bonus room. The interior has many high end details and features walnut flooring, built-in shelving units and an open cottage style kitchen dressed in ship lap siding and luxury appliances. We worked with Krystine Edwards Design on the interiors and incorporated products from Ferguson, Victoria + Albert, Landrum Tables, Circa Lighting

This beautiful new kitchen features white cabinetry paired with a dark walnut island and warm toned hardwood flooring. Italian marble porcelain island counter top. Statement lighting by Visual Comfort along with pale pink iron counter stools.

This house began as an uninhabitable small 1915 bungalow in the Historic Houston Heights. We planned the revitalization and expansion with our clients over several years while planning and obtaining permits and permissions. The size of the home doubled in size while maintaining the existing footprint plus the addition. The end of the previous version of the home ends at the office off of the kitchen. The entire home was designed with a specific color palette of blues, greens, and various forms of neutrals. The center of the home is the kitchen featuring blue custom designed cabinets with a herringbone mosaic backsplash. The antique wood floors run throughout. The kitchen centers on a large island with the sink, microwave, trash, and storage in it. The pantry is below original windows that could not be moved or replaced per historic guidelines. The kitchen is designed to host many people and be the heart of the home.

Our clients challenged us with a kitchen from 1970 that was segmented from the rest of the home. There were five doorways in this kitchen, the ceiling was low and the kitchen was dark most of the day. The clients wanted an open, light kitchen for entertaining with an eat-in breakfast bar. We were able to construct a tray ceiling and designed a large island with a Macubus Fantasy Quartzite (#AlliedStone) countertop with a 3” laminated edge. The island also includes a drawer microwave, wine refrigerator, and a dual can trash bin. The double ovens and a cabinet-depth commercial refrigerator/freezer provide the perfect appliances for entertaining. Two windows placed symmetrically on the exterior wall frame the 36” cooktop/vent hood and fully open to operate as a pass-through for outdoor entertaining. The backsplash features tile from Ann Sacks that goes above the windows to the ceiling. The dedicated bar contains a small sink, and ice maker. The original front door to this home was repurposed as a barn door and used as the new entrance to the laundry/mud room. This finished project opened up this kitchen and made it truly the heart of this home.
